Wasn’t there just a situation in the BSC where a play was called a TD when the BALL never crossed the end line but the receiver’s feet were in the end zone when he caught the ball? Isn’t that EXACTLY what happened on the last play, the pass to Simpson?

Why is it so difficult to get ANY kind of consistency from these refs? It’s like every game they start with a blank slate and just make shit up as they go.

The call today was correct.

It's the Big Sigh. The only consistent part is that it's going to be inconsistent.

This conference has never had a quality pipeline for developing or retaining good officials. We've come to expect the head-scratchers and many of us accept that there will be calls made that are clearly and decisively wrong, even when reviewed from 10 different angles. We also get to see calls that routinely get made by jr high officials get missed by these dudes.

It is what it is.

It isn't going to change. Teams have to be good enough to overcome the calls.

We all know it takes 17 angles to have any chance of having the correct ruling!
