Official Griz vs UNC game day thread

The GRIZ took it easy on them.
They knew the game was in hand at halftime. They could have scored 40 with ease. Play calling went conservative and did just enough to control the ball.

No need to panic. Pretty much what I expected. Some egrizzers need to relax some.

A good much needed win on the road. I’ll take it.. Now on to next week for another much needed win.
Go Griz!
I'd call it "workmanlike,"or even dominant, if you go by the stats. Workmanlike in that the Griz ran mostly vanilla plays, played lots of people, and simply marched down the field when they wanted to. Dominant in that the Bears had less than 220 yards of total offense, with only 65 rushing. And, obviously, NO points. Sure, NoColo is a pitiful team, but this is a good, solid win ... I don't give s**t about "style points."

Amen, completely agree.

17. Most of that against the 2nd string defense. And won by 38.

I guess I look at things differently. Win on the ROAD. Those are never easy and we used a ton of players. Two QB’s who were both effective. Three running backs and I didn’t count how many different receivers, backs and tight ends caught passes. ZERO points scored on the D. ZERO. Why compare this game to what the Cats did. A stupid analogy. Cats just better pray their QB doesn’t get hurt (I truly hope he doesn’t). In today’s game you need two serviceable QB’s. The Griz have them.

Speaking hypothetically, if a team wins all their games but lose all ATS, then you think they are a bad, overrated team?
Hypothetically yes, they could be overrated. As in people thought they were the GOAT but they were just the best that season and if they there truly were GOAT they thought they were would have won by a lot more each game. For example MSU could think they are the GOAT if they sweep undefeated (Scats always think they are special so they might claim GOAT) - they would not have won the last two championships minimum let alone against teams like the Marshall team with Randy Moss with their team thus they would have overrated them.

Overrating isn’t only Wins and Losses but where they rank in other aspects like ability to score or hold teams to lower scores, thus the spread was created

Maybe you confuse over rated vs over ranked

And “bad” is more in ranking not rating.

Weird reply...I just haven't seen them rotate quarterbacks all game this season.

But wins and losses are what matters, not how you do against the spread. I am sure there isn't a coach or player upset because they only won by 24.
