The GRIZ Have a Long Way to Go

I didn't say it was 3 points a game. I was correcting another poster on that fact. Man PR. Try to keep up.
I know you didn’t. But I was addressing the 3 point figure. You try to keep up. And stop trying to move the goalposts.

Are we betting $100 on the game?

You still owe me $100 from a previous time the Bobcats beat the living hell out the gris. I actually think that is why you changed your screen name. Try to keep up. Thx.

Oh BS. I never bet you previously. I became hoops in 2021, and I didn't post at all for 6 or 8 months before that.

Also, I have never lost a bet against a Cat. They are afraid to bet me. And I have never not paid a bet in my life. What a F-head you are. And you are another one of the dishonest posters.

And my college team gave up 42 in my junior season, with the first team D giving up on 1 or 2 TD's. Your Cats have a long way to go, but I don't believe Stubbie's post/analysis anyway.

Where is the talent drop off? The offense is better and has many of the same players. On D, no Gubner. Some of the secondary making big mistakes are guys who played last year. Name some names. Let’s have a discussion. Are Gradney, Meyer and Lee less “talented” this year than they were last year? I think d/end play is better this year. Maybe some backers but the backers are pretty good and deep. I. of course, agree the D is not playing nearly as well as last year. Show. me where the talent level dropped. I will listen.
I think the talent drop off from Corbin Walker to Jackson is notable. Also Braxton hill to Terrell, lastly Cotton to anybody playing nickel

Okay. And gubner. And better playing-talent on the O.

And you probably didn’t notice, but isais early in season that we had considerable depth on D but I didn’t know if starters were as good.

Neither Lawler, Gordon, or Ford are as good as Corbin Walker, Pat Hayden not as good as Gubner, drop off in talent for Fouch and Cotton replacements, LB replacements brought in not as good as Janacero, Hill, or Flink, and Lehrmann is not as good as Kale Edwards. Those are the talent drop offs that immediately came to mind. Interested to hear you explain how these comparisons are incorrect.

From an Aug 30 post of mine. See my last para:

I’m most excited about the offense. A possibility of a great and physical o-line. I like what I’ve heard about the new coach and his coach video from when he was at ND. And Bobby says probably 10 deep. With the multiple terrific running backs, I expect a strong running game. Better than prior years. Run first to set up the pass. Protect the qb.

Experienced and terrific receivers. They finally started to step up later last season, and should be strong this year. And lots of depth. Good ability, hands, and speed.

Lots of TE’s. Big and physical and mobile with Grossman. Match up problems at times for other teams.

The QB’s can throw the ball well and are fairly mobile. Don’t know what the offense will be or how the QB's will be used. Looks like coaches won’t put pressure on the QB’s to do a lot or win games, at least early. Fife has good experience and Ah Yat has some from last year. He had no picks.

The D should be good, but replacing 3 senior backers may take awhile, even with the returners and a good transfer.

Looks like good experience in the secondary and a few good transfers. First-team returner at corner, and Jackson played last year and has very good speed. Looks like 2 talented transfer backups too. Multiple safeties and T. Hauck coaching them.

I like the new co-DC’s. The D is fairly complicated and apparently takes time to learn and to be able to react immediately and play fast. This, with new players, may take some time. The coaches seem to think it may take time for it all to come together. I don’t expect a dominant D early on.”

Okay, but I don’t agree with you. Walker good and missed, but the replacements are good and 37 hasn’t had a great season so far. I don’t know enough to say on safeties and haven’t talked to coaches. Janacaro good, but didn’t start many games. Hill very good. Wilson is better this year than last year. The other 3 or 4 backers are good, and I don’t see them making mistakes. Ford has been hurt. I don’t agree on Edwards. Our d-ends are better this year than last year. Thx for discussing.

What about the offense? Much better than last season.

Definitely agree with you on the offense….much more dangerous and explosive than last season. Excited to see the improvements in this team over the next 5 games.

Magnificent post

I don't understand why some feel the need to tell others how to be a fan of their team.

Do it your way - mom is free to do it her way.

Generally, college football fans are friggin fanatical and this phenomenon adds to the fabric of the sport.

She'll keep cheering and watching the Griz...just like you."
I don't understand why some posters seem to want to tell other posters how to post. Isn't it a free country? I think it's perfectly okay to tell someone how to be a better fan. Some Griz fans seem to need that training. I don't think tearing down the team and the coaches helps the team or the program or adds to the fabric of the sport. It does the opposite. I side with Alabama on this, and liked all of his related posts.

41 points so far is not an average of 3 points per game. In fact, your guy Stuber, whomever he is, agrees with me. That 3 number was the number I was calling BS on, and, of course, I was right. I don't even know what IPF is. My insiders at MSU were right on everything they told me last season. I haven't asked them anything this season.

I just googled IPF. This is what I got. "Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

Illness". The first word applies to certain Cat posters.

Last season, I was right that the Griz would beat the Cats and would be favorites coming into the game. No one else said UM would be favorites. I was right when I said that Tim Hauck and the DC would design a D that would shut down the Cats' O. The Griz D did shut down the Cat O. I was right that the Griz would go deep in the playoffs and the Cats wouldn't. I was right that the Cats would lose to good teams in the conference later in the season. I was right that the Griz running backs were better and deeper than the Cats. I, and every Griz and some Cat fans, was right that Mellott wasn't a good passer. I was right that the Cats had the luxury of 2 good QB's who could run their offense well, but wouldn't be good if both QB's were out. I was right that the Cats peaked way too early in the season. I was right that the Cats didn't have a top defense. I was right that a bunch of Cat posters on egriz were full of BS.

Let's bet $100 even up on the Griz/Cat game.
Hahaha I’d bet any amount of $ that the cats roll your squad. You are currently in a “brawl” With UNCO

I do agree with you though that the overall talent drop off is not what most idiots think. Walker and Hill were great players that we miss
