The GRIZ Have a Long Way to Go

It's not impossible. Improbable, yes. Just based on what these untrained eyes have seen, it would take a perfect storm for the Griz to win out in conference, and a miracle on the order of Moses parting the Red Sea to sweep the playoffs.

I agree with this. Offense will keep them in it, but the defense has to make some plays. Big difference from last year is also TOs forced. I think they are quite a few behind in that aspect if I remember correctly. A timely TO and score can win you a game or two in crunch time. Theoretically, the next 2 games should allow them to "learn" the defense and get better for the last 2 big games.
Through 7 games, Griz have lost four fumbles, recovered two. Griz have thrown two interceptions, caught four. Turnover margin is currently zero. While turnovers haven’t fueled wins, they’ve also not caused losses so far. I do think positive turnover margin and explosive special teams plays are rocket fuel for Bobby Ball, and without them, most games will be a toss up.

The fact that we are fighting for our playoff lives in a historically weak Big Sky (and FCS) says everything I need to know about where we stand.

Griz fans need to ask themselves, do you think Bobby has built a program that is capable of competing with the Dakotas year in and year out? If not, what is it going to take to get there?

The Dakotas are the standard bearer of FCS football. In my opinion, with the resources we have at our disposal in a watered down FCS, anything less than competing for a championship on a yearly basis is failure.

Hey, if Charleston Heston can do it, certainly this Griz team can All special affects man.

Perfect storm ? It will need to be divine intervention.

Three teams have a realistic shot at winning it all this year. NDSU, MSU, and SDSU. The rest are all pretenders.
1st NDSU
2nd SDSU

Just cus you’re 3rd best doesn’t mean you belong in the contender conversation. As I said before, the Dakotas should find it hilarious and insulting that anyone might include you equal to them. The only thing that’ll keep them from facing each other in a natty is which side of the bracket they both fall in.

All we gotta decide is do we want total Griz dominance or last second win that will bring the house down.

I can see it now, Bobby with a long, full beard, wearing a maroon ankle length smock and sandals, arms outstretched, saying, "Behold the mighty hand of God!"
I actually thought that was how he started off each training camp.

Or, saying, "Out of my cold, dead hands!"

If Mellott stays healthy . Course, that goes for Gronowski and Miller as well. As much as despise your fan base, they're looking good.
