Flyovers Temporarily Suspended

Montana vs NAU was originally scheduled to have a flyover. Unfortunately, the National Guard temporarily suspended aerial demonstrations. The athletic department is working with the National Guard to reschedule a flyover when the ban is lifted.

I get flyovers everyday, multiple times, morning, noon, and night. Living just west of final approach to the Airport/MANG can be entertaining. When the wind shifts, we see the takeoffs, powering UP, more of a true flyover experience.👌

Absolutely not true. ARMY National Guard did a flyover at Rocky vs Montana Western in Billings yesterday.
"In its statement, the ANG reminded shows that flyover support may still be available from non-ANG units, including active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Navy, Marine Corps, Army, and Army National Guard units."

So what is the point of this post? I saw a flyover yesterday….

Can’t speak for the OP, but people were surprised their wasn’t a flyover at homecoming. This was information on the situation.

Clearly the flyover we had scheduled was through the air national guard. Timing of the suspension obviously precluded working with another group to deliver a flyover. As you stated the one you saw was from the army national guard which was not part of the suspension.

Reading is hard.
Comprehension is harder.
Those four syllable words are a bitch.
What's a syllable?😂

It is specifically mentioned that the Army National Guard, amongst others, is not affected. This was a Air National Guard restriction only. An obvious 'anti-Griz' move, probably precipitated by a MSU ROTC grad. Devious bastards are everywhere.

Anyone else notice in the second to last flyover some clown with a paraglider was pretty damn close when the plane came in, then the next week there was a helicopter hovering I assume helping spot for the plane/keep airspace safe. Helicopter left right after the flyover. That first instance could have ended really bad. And boy do I miss the skydivers and /freefalling
