Idaho might have a better front on defense, but not on offense. There, you’re wrong. Griz have a great offense that has answered the bell this season with the exception of the first half of todays game. They have played a MUCH tougher schedule than the cats and have the second best offense in all of FCS. So talk shit on the defense all you want, and you’ll get no argument here. The offense on the other hand is a whole different story, and the offensive line in particular is substantially better than Idahos, which is backed up by both the eye test and stats. Cats defense will have their hands full.

Thanksgiving does not sound like it will be that fun this year.

I expected a step back from the Griz but I expected the Cats to step back as well with everyone they lost. There has to be a change on defense or this year is a wash.

Damn Shame we aren't playing Idaho this year. Feels like that would have been a great benchmark game to see where the Griz are actually at. Also just love the trophy.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, should be great! Griz win, Rider win, fingers crossed for the Steelers today. Sorry you guys have to wait until November, little slower south of the old 39th. ;)

Anyways, back to facts, there’s been nothing to indicate the Griz are an elite team at the moment. An elite team doesn’t give up 55 to Weber or lose to Weber. An elite team doesn’t let EWU have season highs on offense. Could they still be considered an elite team at the end of the year? Sure. But nothing they’ve done so far indicates they are there right now.
 
some people don't realize how teams progress....last year a couple teams that were hot early on faded...we progressed and kept winning until the natty. we won't lose another game at least deep into the playoffs. giving up 55 to Weber or big points to ewu will not matter come November...by the time we play the scats the landscape in the big sky will be different....

Well first I am not playing and I would feel safe you are not either. I was just trying to talk a fellow fan off the ledge. I dont bet but if I did I would say you are young if you predict a boat race either way in the Brawl. Looking at history the year one team looks superior is the year they get beat on a close score. Of course that is after the streak. So I wish you a great weekend. The Bears already won so I will be celebrating a little longer.

This is spot on. I don't know how so many people seem to forget how long the season is and that there are ups and downs. The Griz looked pedestrian at the beginning of the season last year, but continued to grow each week and the rest was history. We are currently seeing growth each week. I don't care how the team is playing in September and October.
 
I watched much of this game on replay. Yes Weber’s QB had a hard time holding onto the ball

Though regarding our next opponent…
For all?of the 4th quarter, and perhaps most of the 2nd half, Northern Colorado just ran the ball. They kept chipping away with their featured running back and QB. I believe they also successfully converted three or possibly four 4th down efforts. I suspect when you’re 0-17 you might as well go for it rather than punt. No doubt our Griz will be seeing the same.
