How are we feeling?

What serious fixes does the D need?
Secondary in general, getting pressure on the QB, tackling and sealing the outside edge/cut down on overpursuit to name a few. Generating more turnovers would be nice as well (we're only +1 so far this season) and cutting into the average of giving up 432 yards per game and 33.75 points against quality competition would be great as well.

Suggest listening to Brigs podcast, they touched on all this and more, instead of being perpetually offended that people would hope for improvement after struggling.

I feel good about what I saw. EWU vs Griz is always a dogfight. I think we have yet to see our offense 100% unleashed and when that happens we will be unstoppable!

Defense is a work in progress, will improve when guys heal and get more experience.

What needs improvement in the secondary? The Griz get good pressure on the QB. Yes, tackling could be better. Seeling the edge? Like when was that bad? What's Brigs podcast?

You just talk in generalities. The D has played well at times, and not so good at times.

You just cheery pick the stats. UM has given up 354 yards per game. Cats, who are no. 1, have given up 279 per game. 4.71 per play for Cats to 5.1 for UM.

Cats have played 4 crappy teams. UM has played 1. UM is 3d in conference in pass D efficiency. Passing D is 215 to 183 (Cats). So, 32 yards more per game than Cats. Again, Cats have played a bunch of very weak teams. UM has 2d lowest passing completion D percentage, behind Davis. 51%. That's very good.

UM's scoring D went from 22 after EWU game. Cats are first at 18.5 now, by comparison. Again, Cats have played crappy teams.

Not cherry picking to only include the averages of teams we play who actually have a pulse, aka that are ACTUALLY DECENT. Against quality competition we're giving up 432 yards and 33.75 points a game on average, that needs to be changed. I mean congrats on pointing out we're okay on paper if we play bad teams (because Morehead State is god awful) you must be a detective.

Homecoming game vs NAU worries me.

Seriously, sometimes the Griz just don't play well in HOCO games...

That's the game I'm most worried about.
After what NAU did to the Griz last year I find it hard to think of the NAU game as a trap game. If anything I think NAU better be worried because payback is a bitch.

Nope. I understand the game. I talk to player and coaches. Talked to Hauck yesterday. Got a text from him this morning. How about you?

Let’s bet $100 on whether Weber gets those amounts on Griz. I say Weber doesn’t get there.

not confident....3 potentially 4 more losses on the schedule and that is with a decent defense that can tackle. Trying to strip the ball costs them a lot also but defense and coaching better improve or looking at a missed playoff or early exit playoff.........still time to fix things, heal up and go on a run!

Did he tell you you’re a psycho and to leave him alone?
I have been friends with Bobby for 25 years. I know his family and knew his dad. He would probably class you as a phycho. If you talked with the coaches from time to time, you would learn a lot of the team. Or continue to be a know-nothing on the internet.

Good joke.

So you pick a team who has had offensive consistency issues this season to bet on? Yeah nice try cupcake, I'm so sorry that actually factual data is so triggering to you 😂. I hope the defense improves as well, it needs to if we're going to have a shot in the post season.

did he happen to mention who he invited into the bubble to watch practice yesterday?
you got invited to the bouncy house.

why because you can't see our defense is lost and hurt at the same time??
Weber has a legit chance
NAU could sneak up on us
UC Davis is good
Cats at the litter box
Weber isn't going to beat us, nor is NAU. The other 2 will probably be tough games.

Welcome to the state of delusion that is daring to insinuate to mthoopsfan that the Griz could possibly hope to improve in any category. Hoops acts as if this team is undefeated and has won nothing but natty's for Bobby's entire tenure.

Nope, I don't even act like the Griz are good and going anywhere this year. I know what has to be improved. Most on egriz don't.
