Good, Bad, Ugly - Morehead St

Morehead coach:

"You have four, five backs like they have, I'm still trying to figure out how they lost last week," Morehead State head coach Jason Woodman said. "It just doesn't make any sense.”

Any of you egeezers that claim to have knowledge should send him a message.
Easy answer.

The Griz abandoned the run game and tried to force Ah Yat and Fife to finish the game with their arms. It didn't work and costed the griz. If the Griz would have stuck with their strength, they wouldn't have lost.

I really don’t like our two QB system especially how it played out. It was inferior opponent so didn’t matter but our vertical passing game needs to improve to beat better teams. I am sure it was scripted but I would have left our young starter in after the pick in the first half. Nick Saban spoke to that concept during a recent interview and I agree with that.

Other than that it was a get right game for the rest of the team. We have a good rushing offense that is for sure.
Ah Yat was 9-11 passing.

Apparently the Moorehead State coach did not watch any game film on the Griz. It was obvious to me before the season started that our run game was our strength. That is our coach's call. So in that lies the answer.

In 2d half at ND, Griz drives were:

1. Gillman for 2; 2 incompletes; punt.

2. Sack for minus 8; complete for 4; sack for minus 6; punt.

3. Game tied early in 4th. Gillman for 6 and 2; incomplete; punt.

4. Down 3 with 2:09 to go. 7 and 1 yard completions; 1 yard gain by Ah Yat; Ah Yat run for 32 and 1st down. Incompletion; 4 yard sack; completion for 3 yard loss. Missed 54 yard FG.

16 plays and 2 punts and FG try.

Seems like there were a lot fewer critical penalties compared to the last 2 games. Too tired to look it up however.

So THREE RB touches in the 2nd half. 12 attempted passes...THAT is an interesting choice of plays...

Tells me that the PLAN will be adhered to, whether it's working or not. OC calls the plays, right? Why didn't Bobby tell Pease to change the plan and RUN THE F'KING BALL!!!? The Texas A & M coach told his OC the same thing a couple of weeks ago, in their loss the Notre Dame.

This falls on Bobby's head, period. Admitting he is wrong ain't in his genes. I thought he got the message after the NAU game last year, but here we go, again. Let's re-invent the wheel!

'Trying the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.'
