Portland State USD Game Canceled

The Vikings and Coyotes cancelled their contest due to a whooping cough outbreak in the Portland State program, the Oregon university announced Saturday.

"A case of pertussis (whooping cough) got into the Viking team two days ago. Pertussis is a highly contagious disease that affects the lungs. As a result, many team members have been exposed to the disease," the Vikings said in a statement. "It was determined by Portland State that the game would not be played in the interest of the health of the student-athletes."

And that was a very fringe belief back then. I can only imagine how much worse it's going to get now that a solid 1/3 of the country is convinced that vaccines contain 5G and the correct alternative is bleach.

But nothing but respect to PSU for prioritizing player health. Sucks that it'll probably be counted as a forfeit but it's not worth jeopardizing a heck of a lot more.

So when I went back to school, I went to PSU (local school to me obvi). I was REQUIRED to have the TdaP shot. I have no idea how or why this dumbassery happened. So strange.
 
If you read some of the current information and conspiracy theories the destruction of our immune system
is the result of vaccines.

Lots of people don't get vaccinated today because they are scared. They have been taught to not trust the media sources they trusted to build their country and their world. They have been taught to look for leadership that offers simple solutions to amazing complex problems. They have been taught that intelligent people who work and research their asses off are "out of touch elites". You won't change their thinking with belittlement and insults, only with education.
 
This vaccine doesn't last forever and it's easy to miss a renewal. I think every tetenus vaccine I've received as an adult stemmed from an urgent care visit for an injury involving metal puncture wound when surprise, surprise my past vaccine was no longer good.
Many people who would have received this vaccine in 2020 didn't.
