Trash Talking

I am okay and pleasantly happy with the game against MO State. It is the first game, get the first game mistakes out of the way.
I am NOT okay with the trash talking some of the safeties and cornerbacks were doing to MO State! Turn it down!!!! Let your defense do your talking. Will start getting flagged for some of the stupid trash talking that is happening. THAT is unacceptable.

Coaches need to nip this in the bud right now before it costs us a game...don't care where you are from, when you do this it is classless. Griz are better than that and it can cost a game.

I don’t know…watching Gillman do the Zeke Elliott “eating” after scoring was pretty damned funny…he had the biggest smile on his face. I say let ‘em have fun, I’d rather they be chirpy than chippy.

Man, I should trademark that. Sounds like Ted Lasso: “Be chirpy, not chippy”.
 
What Gillman I have no problem with
What I am talking about is when it showed that a couple of safeties or cornerbacks after they made a good play got into the face of the opposing player and were talking trash....that can be construed borderline taunting...the Griz don't need that type of penalty after a great play!

Couldn’t disagree more. I love having a secondary with swagger. Also they obviously know what they’re doing because they didn’t get any flags. I remember Robby Hauck getting plenty of flags for trash talking
 
Well fine, be like the SEC, but don't crying to the board when a great play is made and then there is a tuanting call against the seocndary. Yes play with passion but do not do it to cost the team 15 yards. Taunting calls will always come at the worst time.
Also go back over the years, taunting calls are never called in the first couple of games BUT then the refs start tightening down on that.
Saw several games last year in the SEC where a taunting call turned the game to the opposing team and they ended up winning.

Maybe just calm down until we actually get a penalty for it.

Yes saw that too.
To me the best thing that I ever saw was someone was jacking their jaws at (I think it was) Ostomo when he got up after a long run, he looked at the opposing player, and just pointed at the scoreboard.
That shut the guy up more than anything!

I feel like this is a Deja vu thread…literally gets one started every year, all the way back to the ol’ MLB we had from Oregon that got the unsportsmanlike against MSU…
