The Bubble today

I believe it’s to protect the field/surface while the rest is being installed. Can drive the lifts on it and not rip up the turf
I assume you are right. But if laying that much dirt on the field and subsequently having to remove it has to be done with each putting up and taking down the bubble, I question the feasibility of the plan to take it down in the Spring then putting it up again in the Fall. Looks like a lot of work and expense. They may decide to just leave it up permanently.

I bet that's what they end up doing. I think they'd all be in favor of having AC in the Summer with how hot it gets in Missoula

Thank Gawd! I would hate to think the Marching Band would have to walk a mile to New Dornblaser to practice. After all, we all have to do our part so the concerts can go on.
I haven't seen any of the Band in years, but backing the day the Band members were, well, well rounded individuals. Having to walk from the Music Building to any point ON CAMPUS would be considered an aerobic activity.
It's good to see the Administration has its priorities taken care of.👍🙄

It’s almost like the school is testing out the new surface with increasing stress on it before rolling the football team out to it before it’s fully tested and ready. What a fucking concept.

Don't be so hard on the band, they add a lot to the game day atmosphere so I'm glad they are getting in some preseason practice. Love their pregame march through the tailgate including all the well rounded tuba players!
