Hero Sports Griz 2024 Preview

I can see a 10-2 based on historic performances of dropping a game we shouldn't drop, but I'm thinking we go about 11-1. 12-0 would be great, but I'm just not sure we leave Bozeman with a win based on past history. Then again, nobody predicted we'd run the table after losing to NAU in 2023 😂

Until that curse is lifted on that portal to hell in Cheney, you have to chalk EWU as a loss. I think we are the better team and I expect us to win, but have multiple times in the past as well only to be disappointed. I hope Bobby makes the guys lift on a red EWU rug every damn day until it gets done. I don’t really care to predict. I could see us dropping 2 as easily as 1 or none.

Playing at UND has traditionally been almost as tough with a pretty even split against UND and a losing record in Grand Forks.

Weber is always a tough matchup, but love that game at home.

We will see how good WCU has become and if they are ready to step up to being a playoff caliber team.

And for that contest down in Bozeman, somebody needs to show up as the road team after the last 4 years, so it might as well be us.

The one thing I'll say about the game in Bozeman is that after we smoked them in Wa-Griz last year, Bobby in his postgame press conference mentioned how he had been thinking a lot about how badly the home team had dominated over the last 4 years. Now that the shoe is on the other foot and we'll be the road team this year, I would have to imagine that has probably been a big talking point throughout the offseason and definitely will be come Brawl week. Contrary to the last 4 years, I think this year it's gonna be a really close game.

Sam Herder has the Griz going 10-2, with losses to EWU and MSU. The Cats I can see (on the road), but Eastern? I think the boys will be fired up to finally get a win on the horrible red rug.
Your thoughts?

Eastern  Puds could go either way. Obviously, all of our fan questions will be answered by then.

I think gris roll UND. WCU and EW will really test the gris secondary as both teams can air it out. I’m convinced at this point the brawl is nothing but a coin toss and trying to predict that game can be impossible but Bozeman is going to be thumping and the team wants revenge.

Not to be a Debbie Downer here, but you all realize the the Montana Grizzly football team has NEVER had a complete (including post-season) undefeated, untied season. In history...EVER. If we do manage to roll all the way through the championship game unscathed, we will truly be seeing something historic. Not that I'm against that, mind you, I'm just not sure I can predict it, especially this early. Maybe if one Ah Yat couldn't quite get it done (he's the QB who got us the closest, 14-1 with a loss in the last game), his progeny can.

I would never predict an undefeated season, especially in a year where we play the cats on the road. I would just like some of EverettGriz's optimism.

UM could be 10-2, but they aren't going to lose to EWU, and, without having seen either team, I believe the Griz will beat the Cats. Maybe my view will change after the first several games of the season for both UM and MSU.

I'm thinking EWU has lost a bit more than Hero Sports realizes. The Eagles have a favorable first month of football, maybe the best they've had in years with no double bodybag games or anything like but, but the Griz schedule is good, too.

I can't understand the loss to EAU. I can maybe see a load at MSU, but I wouldn't be surprised if we're undefeated going into the playoffs. I think UND and Weber are tougher games.
