Value of the Running QB

Watching Calgary school Montreal with Tommy Stevens, #15, coming in for Maier in short yardage situations. No punting, no FG, just go get it. Calgary up 23-12 at the half. Stevens is a 6'5" 240# product of Penn State/Mississippi St. Game is on CBS Sports Net.
Enjoy.

Fajardo wins it in the second half.

Never useless info. 👍 Had to Google his hx. California native redshirted at Reno in 2010, awaiting Kaepernicks final year, then got to shine in his own right.

was in calgary this spring. having dinner downtown and our server was the girlfriend of stevens. was telling her how i used to see super dave riding a girl's 10-speed around campus to and from class. big nerdy glasses and a 80 pound book bag on his back. she got quite a kick out of that.

We offered Fajardo way back in the day. Useless trivia moment.
I had no idea. I do think not having an O-line capable of protecting Fajardo was the beginning of the end for Craig Dickenson in Regina. Fajardo's last season with the Roughriders was brutal.

Did you see that Sasky picked up Eric Barriere? I think he's third on the depth chart. He'll either move up or become a great get from someone else, Calgary, I hope.

The Riders o-line was garbage last year and only slightly better this year. Makes no sense since our GM is a former lineman. You put Fajardo behind a decent line and he wins the Grey Cup. No oline no chance, doesn't matter what the level.

The former-FCS QB show goes on, tonight BC at Hamilton, Vernon Adams v Bo Levi Mitchell. EWOOO! Never fear, I'm still a DD fan! Go Griz!!!

Payton was one the most silky smooth runners at the QB position in the history of the NFL. Eli was a distant second, but still like a gazelle.
If not mistaken, When Archie Manning retired after 14 years back in 1982, he had rushed for more yards, 2,198, along with 18 TDs rushing, more than any other QB in NFL history, at the time. Just saying.

You mentioned "his sons" in a thread about the value of the running QB. I referred to that, and didn't mention Archie. Just saying.
