I went to 3 gris games this year… heard it at every game and yes it’s mainly students but thats the same for the cats. The reason it sounds so loud on TV is because the microphone is near the students. I’d say Tommy did most of the throwing, I believe Chambers only threw 3-4. Yes game plans change but if defenses are going to adapt into a more relaxed defense then the run will kill them.

I live in a smaller Montana town that is, admittedly, more heavily cat country. I hear it year round, almost every time I'm at a public function or out for dinner from cat season ticket holders in their 50's, 60's and 70's, when any Griz fans come around. Granted, most of these people are dicks anyway, but I can tell you they are never gracious when the cats win and sore losers when they don't. After last year's beatdown, at least they just mumble it to themselves under their breath.

In fairness, there is one cat fan who I have a bet with on the Brawl goin back 15 years. Always a bottle of whiskey, now always a bottle of Pendleton. After the cats reeled off 4 wins in a row we changed the bet to a drink, and the bottle of Pendleton I gave that year is now the "trophy" the winner gets to hold, which we will share the earlier of the year of our 75th birthdays or either the cats or Griz win the Natty.

I do remember my buddies and me going to gris games wearing cat gear and getting cussed out when we were 10 by old dudes. If you think gris fans are classy then you are crazy.

I assume Blue Cross covered it. It reminds me of a time I went to a game in Bozeman and a bunch of Bobfans were kicking puppies and defecating on windshields in the parking lot. A few of them were smoking what appeared to be marijuana cigarettes. They circled me in because I was wearing my Griz crop top. One said, “We don’t take too kindly to folk like you round up over up in here in these here parts.” They held me down and one of them lifted up a haunch and released a super wet phatty directly about my face/neck area. He said, “That’s from the tummy of the Grizzly bear.” Then, they started throwing a bunch of expired Denny’s gift cards at me, which was weird. They sped off in a 1999 Dodge Dakota, red.

I don't live in Montana anymore and haven't for a long time. I can barely get to one or two Griz games a year. I'm certainly not going to Cat games.

Why don't you quiz the multiple people who have said they hear that chant everywhere they go around the state of Montana?

The reality is that you know it's a one-sided thing. You just don't want to admit it. That's fine. Moving on...

I find that borderline impossible to believe. Maybe, MAYBE, that was a one time incident and you were incredibly unlucky. If anyone saw literal children being cussed out, they would step in. There is a 0% chance I would let people around me treat 10 year olds that way, regardless of how much I had been drinking. Most folks tailgating at the games have families and kids of our own. At the Ah Yat thing, I was willing to believe that you had heard a rumor. The students chanting "eat shit cats" and people cussing out 10 year olds just does not happen. Period.

I'm not saying every Griz fan is the picture of class and perfection, but there are enough good people all over the place that cussing out little kids in public is just not going to be acceptable. Period. That's just not true.

I've never been to MSU for the brawl, so I can't speak to that, but I would genuinely hope the same could be said there.

You may be a student but you are a non-trad at best. Like I said, probably 35+.

Want to know why I’m so sure? Because I’m guessing you also post on BM, and you probably spend over twice as much time over there as here which would mean you are on messages boards almost all day long unlike any real students
