I agree with you. Look, we all want to win a championship, but in FCS history there has only ever been one team that consistently won a title every year for an extended length of time. It just isn't normal in sports.
The hope every year is to win a championship. To do that, you have to field a team that makes the playoffs. Then advance in the playoffs. And you don't win a national title without getting to the title game. Of course it sucks to lose in the NC, but who else is even getting us to one to take a swing at it? You're right, as long as he continues to get us that far, he will be staying for the next however many handful of years until he hangs it up.
I do want a championship, but I always want to enjoy being a Griz fan and have some awesome WaGriz experiences with my friends and family. I want to make deep runs and feel like we have a shot at it every year. I feel that way now. The run we went on last season was tense and magical. I feel really bad for the handful of Griz fans out there that have such a hate hard-on for Bobby Hauck that they couldn't enjoy it. It's a fucking college football team. Just go cheer and have fun.
