Good post until the last sentence. My post was specific, and you deflected by talking about supporting the team no matter who the coach is. You are correct about catching a break, and last's season's success was much more about catching breaks in two OT playoff games than it was about great coaching. Just the truth, but you'll attribute it to great coaching, which is predictable for you.
Good coaching and good execution is what won the two OT games. Not luck.

Did I say they were the same offenses as MSU? No. But they were all versions of the run-first option offenses, and were used to show how QBs who ran the football at levels similar to what Mellott ran at MSU were able to play for multiple years without major injury, and all of you geniuses who feel sorry for the "abuse" that the Bobcat coaches place on Tommy (and Andersen) is ridiculous.
Okay so your points are:
1. There's nothing wrong with MSU's offense and how they use Tommy.
2. Tommy is a prime physical specimen and has the perfect body to do the things that his coaches ask of him.
3. Other teams use run first offenses without their QBs getting hurt over and over.

So then please explain why Tommy has been consistently injured in his career at MSU, because there must be a reason.

Mariota never ran QB power, so comparing his situation to Mellot's is fucking stupid.
Oooooo, throwing around "QB Power" terminology, then providing emphasis with the "F bomb". You're hilarious. Oregon under Mariota was a run-first option offense. Might wanna take a break and use some Preparation H. Next!

Pretty simple. He's had some bad luck. That's what football injuries are. There is no prescription for any football player to avoid injury, except perhaps running out-of-bounds to avoid contact.

So you don't understand how MSU and Oregon's offenses are vastly different.

It was already apparent, but thanks for confirming it.

I think we have done well at getting some good young talent in the door, but we can't just force the issue and start the younger guys if they are not better than the transfer that is sitting ahead of them. I don't see the net advantage in starting a freshman just to start a freshman.

In Hauck 2.0 we landed Danny Britt, who was very highly thought of coming out of High School. He was 4th in Nevada for passing yards, an all-state qb, and led his team to their first ever state title. He was considered a winner, and a tough kid too. He was also, according to a survey of hundreds of coaches, considered one of the most under-recruited kids in the nation. So that was pretty solid recruiting, and it didn't work out here for non-football reasons.

Landed Ah Yat, who you have a praised.

Landed Huot Three-time All-State selection dating back to 2019… Named First-Team All-State in 2021… A three-star prospect, Huot was the top-ranked recruit in the state of Montana… Rewrote the Helena High record books with many milestones, including career offensive yardage and passing TDs, with 6,977 and 61, respectively… Led the Bengals to a 9-3 record and a deep playoff run in his senior season under center.

Landed Luke Flowers, who was VERY highly thought of coming out of high school. Rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports… In first season as starter in 2022, passed for 3,009 yards and 37 touchdowns in leading Trojans to a Class 5A title… Named Idaho’s top quarterback in the class of 2024… Also held an offer from Arizona… Dad Aaron Flowers played football at Cal State Northridge and set a school single-game passing mark against UM in 1996 and coached QBs at Montana State… Carries a 3.9 GPA

Those are all REALLY solid recruits who have the intangibles we look for and have been very highly touted coming out of high school. But if we were to have forced any of those guys ahead of the older starter, it would have hurt the team's record at a time when many fans are screaming about how we need to win now. So, the coaches fielded a roster to "win now," and have continued to do it every year. It is on one of the young guys to take the job. It will not be handed to anyone. The pride and tradition of the Montana Grizzlies jersey is taken, not given, under this staff.
I like your indept analization of these players.I think in the past several years we have failed to land good recruits but it is possible these players have changed it for now.Let's just give it this year and we should know better. We also have a lot of support for the quaterback be it o-line coaches,o-line players, backs, receivers.Something we lacked parts of in the past. The quaterback cannot win games on his own.

Ha. Exactly what I knew you would say. At some point "bad luck" must be investigated for causation but that might mean admitting you're wrong which we all know you'll never do.

I am sometimes, just not in this case. Let me know how your investigation of the causation of football injuries goes. I'm sure we all can use a dose of humor.

Oh look, you had to google something again lmao

Also, Mariota graduated in 2015, you idiot.
I Google an article to embarrass your ignorant comments., and prove how obtuse you are. Oregon has run the same offense with minor variations Since Chip Kelly. But keep on embarrassing yourself. I'll pop the popcorn to watch the butt-hurt.

I've had my fun talking "football" with you loonies. Sunday humor is always special. Thanks for providing comedic relief to our football discussion. Always appreciated. Now, I'm going to go make a sammich for lunch.

YOUR OWN ARTICLE YOU POSTED AS PROOF PROVES YOU WRONG!
The Oregon Ducks have introduced quite a few new plays to their offense in the first quarter of the 2021 season.
