Malik Flowers CFL

Political horsesh*t is why the name changed. Inuits comprise 60,000 out of about 40 million Canadians, or, about one-tenth of one percent. Squeaky wheel gets the grease, just like this country.
And the Elks were actually named after the Edmonton Elks Lodge, so there is no plural, it's irrelevant, like Canadians, eh Sask? Do your homework, teacher.
Almost nothing you said is accurate but that should not be a surprise. Keep trying.

So what percentage of the population do they need to represent before racial slurs are not acceptable? Asking for a racist friend.
It's funny how painfully obvious it would be for nearly everyone to see why a team called the "Atlanta Negros" or "Phoenix Mexicans" would be incredibly offensive, but for some reason people don't get it when it comes to native people's ethnicity being used as a sports mascot.

Rebut my post, point by point. Enlighten me. I got it off Google.🧐
The rename had nothing to do with Elks organisation, if that was the case they should be the Edmonton Shriners. I don't know about America but up here we don't stick with racist names based on percentage of population it directly offends. Kind of like how the New York Jets aren't the New York Jews even though Jewish people are only 16% of Manhattan.

1922 name change from Eskimos to Elks in exchange for a very sizeable donation from the local Elks Club. Changed back to Eskimos one year later. No mention of the Shriners at all. Are you saying the Shriners and the Elks are the same organization? I haven't found  that tidbit of information anywhere. Cite your sources, please. Mine can be found on the internet, publications not bullsh*t posts.

You claim Thirdandlong makes up sh*t, but here you go outdoing him in spades. You still haven't rebutted my post fact by fact. I fact checked my original post information, and found there were not 60,000 Inuits in all of Canada, but over 70,000. Probably dated information. And the Canadian population was not 40 million, but 38.9 million. I try to keep factual.

Did you know that in 2017, a national survey or poll was conducted, and 57% of Canadians were fine with the name 'Eskimos'?

I await your point by point rebuttal. Oh, there was never any team called the New York Jews( as far as I know), so there was never any need to change such a name. Stick to facts.

A lawyer never asks a question unless he already knows the answer. My guess is you ain't a lawyer. Good question, though. I don't know if the question was ever asked.

I don’t know the answer for certain but I’d guess it’s fairly low, possibly zero. Not likely since some may be tolerant to others, and I don’t mean this in a hurtful way but a true to the definitions way, ignorance.

You obviously are not a lawyer, either, because your statement is simply not true.

It is perfectly appropriate, and sometimes beneficial, to ask a question when you don’t know the answer - if no potential answer is detrimental. The important thing is not to ask one question too many.

Yeah, turns out Eskimos is an offensive term to the Inuit people. Fair enough, so they became the Elks. Which is only controversial because I believe the plural of elk is elk, like moose and moose. Same franchise, different name. I miss the days when they had the greatest QB of all time Warren Moon. "If God made a QB he would have made in 6'4 210 with 4.5 speed and be able to throw the tightest spiral off his back foot 60 yards, then he would have apologized for wasting peoples time because there was already Warren Moon."
It was a travesty that Moon had to go to the CFL to get his shot in the NFL. He was great at UW too.

I am offended when I am called a "Caucasian". My ancestors did not originate in Caucasus region, which is in Georgia, not the American State, but the former USSR. We all know it is a generalized term for white people.

However, I am not white, I am olive complected. My ancestors were Norwegian, Irish, Welsh, German, Greek, Catalan Spanish and Mi'Kmaq, yet I was born in North American, making me an American? But I was also a light green Marine. Man, this is confusing.

I just want to be offended too.

Everybody's a victim.🙄
Stand in line, so the whole world can rightfully kiss your ass, apologize for their supposed transgressions, offer you reparations, outlaw certain words and otherwise make special laws just for you.🤣

Malik is an elite kick returner and can take the top of a defense with his speed. But I do not agree he was way underutilized. You can’t say that 3 different pass catchers on the same team were way underutilized unless you think we should have been throwing the ball 75% of the time.
