Malik Flowers CFL

I never thought Flowers earned or deserved more touches at receiver. Even with his speed, he didn't get open enough. He didn't have great hands. He had some nice games later in his senior season. When he was on the field, note that the QB's weren't seeking him out a lot. My guess is that he is using his speed, becoming a better receiver, and catching the ball better now. Good for him

Yeah, turns out Eskimos is an offensive term to the Inuit people. Fair enough, so they became the Elks. Which is only controversial because I believe the plural of elk is elk, like moose and moose. Same franchise, different name. I miss the days when they had the greatest QB of all time Warren Moon. "If God made a QB he would have made in 6'4 210 with 4.5 speed and be able to throw the tightest spiral off his back foot 60 yards, then he would have apologized for wasting peoples time because there was already Warren Moon."

We were limited at QB in both years Flowers was out from under the shadow of Akem and Toure. Since Hauck returned, the 2021 season was by far the weakest we've been at QB. Humphrey was never the same without Toure, and Brown was Brown.

2022 was similar after Johnson got hurt.

To be completely honest, Flowers, although a great return man, was never the pure WR that either Akem or Toure were. I'd even argue that Keelan White, Aaron Fontes and Junior Bergen are all better pure WRs right now than he was. Still a great player for us, but he never really turned into that #1 guy they wanted him to be.

Elks is stupid name. I wasn't big on the Eskimos, or the "Esks." I would have preferred the "Team Poutine" just for the fan buy in.
I watched the game. Flowers wasn't one of the three receivers in motion. He was on the field a lot.

Yeah American football is way better; stay motionless and if you are one of the fat guys, god forbid you touch the ball and get an "illegal touching" penalty. Sounds like something the judge says before he says you can't get within 200 yards of a playground.

Political horsesh*t is why the name changed. Inuits comprise 60,000 out of about 40 million Canadians, or, about one-tenth of one percent. Squeaky wheel gets the grease, just like this country.
And the Elks were actually named after the Edmonton Elks Lodge, so there is no plural, it's irrelevant, like Canadians, eh Sask? Do your homework, teacher.
