MBBALL Rough Day for Top Seeds in Boise

Both #1 EWU and #2 Northern Colorado get beat today! UM becomes the top remaining seed in the BSC!
Let's hope the same thing doesn't happen tomorrow!

Idaho State looked pretty good against Northern Colorado.

Hope the top-seed jinx, as you say, doesn't rear its ugly head again tomorrow.

This conference is a crapshoot. On a good day, Portland State can at least destroy your game plan.

Will it be a good day? Shrug.

The real question is, if this tournament were played 10 times, how many different teams would raise the trophy?

Man, it really feels like all the Griz have to do is just survive tomorrow. If they can get by PSU tomorrow, every team remaining is a great matchup for the Griz. Obviously you gotta play well and not shit the bed like the top 2 did tonight, but man this feels like ours to lose now.

I’m gonna say at least 8 but possibly 10.

I watched much of the second half of both games, and if you were going to write a script as to what types of teams that gives both Northern Colorado and Eastern Washington fits, you'd probably not have included Sacramento State and Idaho State on the list.

That being said, both Sacramento State and Idaho State play defense. They haven't been able to score well enough all year, but they both can play a bit of defense and are physical. Eastern and NC are a bit allergic to defense themselves, and come tournament time when games get tight late, you have to be able to get a stop and frankly neither EWU or UNC could get that key stop.
