UM Releases 2016 Hype Video

I love this video - as an introduction to the season. It should be played before the game - immediately preceding the run-out video. The run out video MUST be different:

- It should portray Griz fans from all corners of Montana traveling to Missoula...showcasing Montana landmarks, and landscapes. It requires miners, loggers, farmers, ranchers, small business owners decked out in Griz gear. Then, it should transition to the legacy of the Program (numbers/stats) - flashing onto the screen. Lastly, it focuses on this year's theme and shows the team in the tunnel getting ready to run out...and finally the run out. All set to kick ass music. Minor modifications for each home game...

Great ideas, but far above what UM has produced in recent years. It's abysmal and makes me .

Me too. UM offers a marketing degree...good grief - give it to a few students and they would deliver. From UM's website:

"Marketing students will receive a solid foundation in the basics of marketing and are allowed to tailor a program to meet their specific goals... Our students also will find career opportunities in a variety of industries, including the computer industry, sports marketing, travel and tourism, banking, nonprofit arenas, and government."

It's tooooooo easy.

Its like the university has no idea how easy it is in 2016 for a 20 yr old student with a mac book...a couple bong rips and half an adderol to slap a 45 second video of high quality and substance together.....

Seriously its 2016....almost any student on campus could make a bad ass intro!!!!

It is not that easy or everyone would do it and the current video is a prime example, its not that good, it is the same as the last few, but with less effort. Needs a new story line and I like what Soldier was onto with the state of Montana idea. Remember the old zoom in from space intro that was a really good video. This new one is too long

That's a very good video. Amazing to be able to relate to a New York Central J3 Hudson steam locomotive design by Henry Dreyfus to give it an oddly "contemporary" retro look.

Lots of creativity there. I mentioned here two or three years ago that the Ahtletic Department ought to have an ongoing relationship with UM's Business School marketing department, journalism school, and media arts program to get all sorts of new blood, new talent and new ideas into "sports" at UM. And, into UM's academic side as well. But, ppphhhtttt.

It's frustrating.
