You guys totally misinterpreted the intention of the narrative of the story....but I got married this weekend so I watched exactly zero seconds of the Griz game and was certainly the worst editor ever for this one Saturday....which won't happen again literally ever unless I have a kid born on a Griz game Saturday! PS if you're wondering why we chose this Saturday, it's because I was absolutely certain the Griz would roll.

Thanks for reading!

Congratulations on the marriage, Colter!!!! Best decision you'll ever make. Hope you and your bride had a terrific day.

Apologies if I misinterpreted. But this is the sentence that then has me confused:

He could feel that his team wasn’t that much worse than the Griz, just a slim margin from being right there with Montana.

Now, I recognize that Houghton is providing Delware's coach's thoughts. But the entire article certainly seems to be written around that story line; that but for a few lucky Montana breaks, Delaware was every bit as good as the GRIZ. Which is so far from anything based in reality as to be completely confounding.

Hope you get to enjoy some time away on a honeymoon, Colter.
According to him it was all about home field advantage.

During the rivalry week, we (and everyone) had so much content, I thought Andrew Houghton's tremendous profile on Braxton Hill and the place that made him got a bit overshadowed. It's still worth reading and a wonderful story about one of the great towns in Montana. Check it out if you haven't.

Wonderful article, Colter. Thank you for allowing me to relive the moment, through your words!
Truly, a special night, at a very special place (Wa-Griz).

"The last two times NDSU came to Missoula, an instant classic ensued. In 2003, the then-Division II Bison beat the mighty Griz when Dan Carpenter missed what would’ve been a walk-off field goal for the hosts."

Dan Carpenter was not on the 2003 roster. The Griz kicker in 2003 was Chris Snyder. This seems to be confused with the 2007 loss to Wofford which ended with a Carpenter miss.

The internet can be your friend...

Probably just another case of newlywed brain.
