Griz vs Huskies Tickets? Hotels?

I don't get any of your logic... Staying in Silverdale saves about $40 on a hotel compared to Seattle (lowest prices on Trivago)... That pays for the ferry and Lunch wherever in Seattle.

The ferry has 11 runs on Saturday before the game with the last getting into Seattle around 3:30... One could pick to spend all day in Seattle or a few hours.

You're acting like 1 Million Griz and Huskies fans are going to hit the ferry system and clog it up all day... I have taken that ferry for Seahawks games probably a dozen times, and I never had problems.

The only way I would consider paying more to stay in Seattle is if the game was at noon.

Staying anywhere away from DT or the UDistrict will save you that kind of money. Why stay on an island, especially in Silverdale? You cannot walk from the Ferry dock to Husky Stadium, so you'll still need an Uber or a cab in Seattle, as well as a car or transportation to get from Silverdale to the Bremerton Ferry dock. Why stay over there and deal with the ferry and at least two other Ubers? Just stay in a suburb and Uber once to save some coin.

The light rail is handy to get to UW but Silverdale is a @#$% of a connection (I live 10 minutes north of Silverdale). I might consider staying on Bainbridge and making that work as the ferry is a great way to go but I would allow 2-3 hours transit time. Island Inn is about a 15-20 min walk to the ferry (nice as you dont have to have a car in Seattle). The Best Western on the Island is a bit further. Silverdale to Bainbridge is 30-45 minutes and you still have to ditch your car somewhere. In short, living here, there is no way I would do that. (Of course, I wouldnt give a bit of thought to staying near the airport either but thats just me)

Me either. But if someone wanted relatively cheap rooms and didn't mind a bit of a commute, it's the only logical place. Silverdale? No effing way, although I do love me some Silver City Brewery!!

I thought everyone on Egriz was just staying at Everett's house?

Bring beer!!

For a large number of visitors to Seattle, a ferry trip is an integral part of any visit to Seattle. Maybe even above Pike Place or the Space Needle. I have lived on Bainbridge / Poulsbo for 20 years and the access is great to the city with no car. You get to live in a great place (albeit very expensive) and can do all the city stuff with no hassle. A lot of my Montana visitors love staying on this side of the water as it is quiet, peaceful and they don't enjoy fighting the traffic.

Staying away from DT or the U won't save that money, the lowest price (on Trivago) was $40 more... Why do you mention walking on the ferry? Cars are allowed on the Bainbridge ferry.

Or, they could take the bus from the ferry terminal. I assume there is a bus, that's how I got to a Seahawks game when they played at Husky stadium...

Contingencies... How many people are going to jam pack Seattle hotels for various reasons like conferences that Friday night?

Bus out of downtown is super easy I have done many Huskies games that way. Faster in and out than driving. I haven't been to a Huskies game for 2 years so am not sure how the light rail is but it should be even easier.

i guess it comes down to what you like. In Silverdale you run the risk of being ass raped by an antigovernment hillbilly.

Bainbridge should do the trick if you're into needlepoint, slow moving Audis and turning in when the late local news is over.

Personally, if I go somewhere, I like to hangout there and experience it. Suburbs tend to be a lot like, well, everywhere else.

Whatever floats your boat.

HAHA... Right area, wrong county... You are talking about Mason County, specifically Belfair.

Is that all there is in Washington? antigovernment hillbillies and flaming socialists? No in between?

I like to be within walking distance of all pertinent locations, for obvious reasons. :beer2:
