You didnt answer the question. If you wanted Stitt out, you should apply the same standards here.
And what proof do you have he was abusive?
There were a number of posts during the Stitt Show that mentioned players complaining about Stitt being vocally abusive.
I was in favor of sending Stitt packing for several reasons.
First, the worst possible thing happened to Stitt when Coach Delaney's team beat NDSU on his first day coaching. That gave him an attitude.
Second, Stitt was a bad hire by a weak AD Haslam. Haslam sought Stitt out from a lower division because "I hear you have a good offense."
Third, Stitt takes credit for inventing the fly sweep and is given national attention and credit by some very good FBS coached.
Fourth, Stitt was in over his head and did not have the experience at this level. He seemed to think having a winning record meant job security.
Fifth, his position recruiting left many weak areas in the Griz roster that haunted the Griz for years following his termination.
Finally, Bob Stitt displayed the characteristics of the small man syndrome in his actions and deeds plus he looked absolutely ridiculous in his little green baseball cap.
Why shouldn't the same be applied to Coach Hauck? That is very simple to answer, potential. Bob Stitt did not display and potential to lead the Griz program to the level of being a consistent national contender but Hauck does and has in the past done that.
I am a die hard Bobby Hauck guy but I am concerned about Hauck 2.0.
