Zags ranked 10th in nation...It would be a WILD upset !

others got what i was saying... why would anyone say the griz need to collapse in order to win?

Exactly. Why would you? Hence my confusion

you know what i mean and that's what has to happen. i think qvale could be an x-factor in this. maybe. someone has to come out, drop about 25 and totally shock the zags. that or we need to play the most amazing defense griz fans have ever seen.

The griz can't hang with the zags down low, or in the open court. However, the three point line is awfully close in college BB. I don't care who is playing whom; if a team is knocking down threes, it is tough to beat. Remember when the redhead caught fire in Missoula? What was that, double overtime?

then it would have to be stads and martin. maybe cam. both could get on a roll but i don't know how they guard the zags' size. the front court is the strength of our team and it will be tough to get that going. maybe only if we get a few guys in foul trouble. or heytveldt gets busted again.

LOL. I guess since Chavez is gone, you have us there. However, there a lot of bars in between here and Missoula for assistant coaches to patronize.

yeah, i think he's on a break though. i heard there was one zags play who had been in trouble academically and possibly otherwise. anyone heard anything about a possible suspension? maybe not suspension but like what stu was on early last year. just in the doghouse.

I haven't heard anything about that; doesn't mean it's untrue.

Hey! We should play a 'who has been caught with mushrooms the least amount of times' game; followed by a 'whose coaching staff has less DUI's' game. Then we should play a bball game for the rubber match.

question... you cheer for the griz... but not hoops, why?

I wouldn't say that. I'm a graduate of UM for undergrad, so I cheer for them in all sports all the time; except for when they play GU in bball.

I'm from the Spokane area and was a zag fan before I was a griz fan. Complicating everything is the fact that my dad and grandpa are from Bozeman; huge Cat fans. It's really a house divided at Thanksgiving.

so the zag thing is only location based? somewhat understandable considering it's old but i cheered for ND and WI forever but i'd root endlessly for the griz in any matchup w/ those teams.

I think it's because I was in Spokane during the initial rise circa '98-'99. I was definitely a fan before then, but that really clinched it. Something great about seeing a team of nobodys from nowhere beat some of the best teams in the country. It's the same reason it would be great for the GRIZ to beat ND of WI.

...or if the Griz beat GU now.
