Your FTC play of the day (11/14)

Today we go back to 1997. There's just too many fun plays so I'll put the whole thing up and suggest the 4:04 mark, the 9:00 spot, and probably at 9:49 as well, lol.

Allezchat, the first TD is a moot point. The smack is Heppner putting the dagger through the Bobcats heart at the 9:04 mark. The whole litterbox full of cat fans thought "the streak" was over after that Cat TD but the Griz crushed their hopes and dreams once again. :lol: I'll always remember the guy with the cowboy hat at the end.

You know if we're having a moment of honesty....which I know is tough for griz fans, those close games like that are good for a rivalry. Now the beatdown of the griz this weekend is entirely different....a 50 point loss by the griz is going to be so demoralizing, it will end the move-up talk and you guys will be talking about moving down to NAIA. ;)
 
Some of the best part of that video is showing the cats score and living large. And then, the kick out of bounds. Doubt enters the cat mind. Then the long pass completion and you can see then going oh Sht, here we go again. And then the flip off-absolutely classic. What a game.

In reality, the cats kicked out butts in that game, much the same way we kicked their butts in 2010. Allezchat, you need to go review the scores over the past 25 years, the only time there is ever a huge beat down is with the cats losing.

May I add, I will be cheering for the cats after this weekend. I always cheer for Montana kids.
 
Sheesh...the TV couldn't even get Kinnaman's first name right. It is Eric not Greg and damn that dude was fast! Brian Ah Yat was one of the greatest Griz QB's ever in my opinion too. What a tough loss that game was.
 
My favorite part of this video is Robin Toner with his little fist pump. He's always been such a douche cat fan. Wish they could have shown him after the kick.
 
Geoff Groshelle will always be one of my favorite cats! We appreciate the extra time afforded the Griz with that K O out of bounds. A precious memory indeed!

It's not really talked about much, but #2 and #44 for the Griz made great plays on the 2 pt. conversion attempt following the Bobcats' TD. If Kinnaman gets that in, Heppner's FG only ties the game.

Also interesting that the 2 pt. conversion play is a mirror image of the TD play by Kinnaman. #2 was able to force the play away from the corner pylon the second time and allowed the pursuit to get there just in time.
