Hopefully this copies over at the right time, if not, start at 1:48 on the timer and watch the full progression of the punt.

Shaw is a great punter, especially for a Freshman, but man I miss Brody. Heady play after heady play plus he was probably the 2nd strongest guy on the team besides Moore.

I can't really see it well on my phone, but is that our boy #5 Joel Fuller getting laid out?

Seriously. That was not his day AT ALL.

 Notice it was towards the beginning of the game. Might have been the hit that got him shaking and set the beatdown tone for Fuller that day.

And not to take away from a great hit by a kicker, but isn't Brody the reserve/safety man on that play? The play wasn't even over (returner had just cut back towards far sidelines) when Brody made a bee-line for Fuller (who was about as far out of the play as one could be).

couple more for you....

Personally, that was kind of a cheap shot by Brody.

That. Was. AWWWWWEEEEESOME.

That's what this rivalry is all about. And it wasn't a cheap shot. The whistle hadn't blown. If you don't like to get popped, go out for Tiddlywinks.

I think it was an unnecessary hit but I wouldn't call it a cheap shot. It was all legal...hit him in the front, in the chest, with his head up, and like Everett pointed out: before the play was over.

I'm pretty sure I recall being taught to play until the whistle in High School. I think #5 was just given a reminder of that in that play.

The attitude we brought to that game last year is arguably the biggest reason why we won.

Our players absolutely went out and punched MSU right in the teeth on almost every play. I don't think the MSU players were really expecting that at all.

I noticed that from 2007-2010 the rivalry seemed to get a lot more tame, without the big hits and disrespect that the series had been known for. 2006 was the last time both teams just absolutely slugged the shit out of each other. Last year was a great return to that "I'm going to destroy you" mentality, and I really think we'll see that from both teams on Saturday.

MSU is still way sore about last year, and wants to prove they're no pushovers. I have a feeling this game is going to be ugly.

Beautifully, beautifully ugly. :thumb:
