X Factor for Grizzly Basketball - John Seyfert

I beleive that more than anything his play will determine our Big Sky season.

Davis will be a solid contributor averaging in the mid teens along with criswell.

I think that if Seyfert gets the fire going and plays harder he could be a force. He could turn into a shotblocking force in the middle. Furhtermore he could become a force on the boards and also in the paint.

Everyone has always talked about this guys potential. Hopefully he puts it all together. If he does the Griz will be real scary.

Potential Potential, and that it. Put a 6-4 guy backing him and he is done, in the half court set. Doesn't even think about a post up move. Watch Seyfert in the 1/2 court set with his back to the basket then watch Strait. What you will see is someone who is wants the ball (Strait) and who is tring to get an advantage on his opponent (Strait again) and then some one else who is simply looking to get the ball and give it back to someone else (Seyfert). Suggestion: play Davis in the low block and let Seyfert play facing the basket about 10 feet on the wing. Facing the basket and allowed to dribble/shot he gets agressive. Also crashing the boards from the wing he get pretty effective with put back, otherwise, let Easley or Strait play. Seyfert is lost in the low post!
