What a crock that these two teams are in a big bowl instead of Boise State. Glad we aren't involved in BCS political crap.

agree but TCU was better then Boise and has a bigger beef

I'm happy because I had WVU huge in my confidence pool, and nearly everyone else in the top 20 picked Clemson! :thumb:

the whole BCS is a joke, but it is all about fat guys in bad fitting blazers - huge amounts of money and a love affair with SEC football....

thank the gods for our griz and a real competition for NC

Boise 56, ASU 24
Mississippi 41, North Carolina 24
Purdue 37, Western Michigan 32
Toledo 42, AFA 41
Auburn 43, Virgina 24
Oregon 45, Wisconsin 38
Baylor 67, Washington 58
Oklahoma 41, Stanford 38
West VA 70, Clemson 33

The concept of defense is lost in college football.

You forgot Baylor/Washington

Baha. The worse one of all.

Edited to add Baylor/UW.

Come to think of it, maybe it's just mostly the Pac-12 that has forgotten how to play defense....

Not entirely:
Marshall over DIU, 20-10
Ohio over Utah St, 24-23
FSU over Notre Dame, 18-14
Illinois over UCLA, 20-4
Michigan over VT, 23-20.

I will, however, totally agree that -- right now -- offense is ahead of defense in college football. Anyone who's watch football for awhile, knows we go through these phases.

Personally, I prefer "balance" in a game when I have no team I give a damn about. Still, I'd rather watch a football "track meet" than a game where the QB and OC "manage the game" (MTG). MTG generally translates into "don't make any mistakes" or "play not to lose." The NFL is (too) often the "No Fun League" because teams play not to lose more often than they "play to win the game."

Another topic.
Of course, ESPN shilled for some other garbage bowl (or bowls ... I'm not totally sure) and their so-called BCS "national championship" during this broadcast They even publicized some sort of high school football "featured" event.
But unless I've missed it, they not once mentioned to FCS national championship game. :puke:

That's precisely why I can't stomach the NFL.

And I watched the game from late 1st quarter on and never heard a mention of the FCS game.

Right on! for both counts.

I wonder when (IF) they will ever mention the FCS game, other than a quick text spot on the bottom-screen thing.

We really need to match up Washington with Clemson to determine the #1 permissive defense head-to-head.

Their only objective in televising the FCS NC game is to provide venue for futher promotion of their BSC "NC" game.

offenses are really good. defenses are set up to fail. can't breathe on a qb. can't tap a receiver. can't tackle or hit anymore without fear of a flag or ejection. scores like these are going to be par for the course....

except in the title game. :D both those defenses are just too good. gonna be another 10-7 or 13-10 game....

I hope alabama wins by 60 and no one is happy with the game boycotting the bowls this year anyway, the more people that do the sooner there isn't money for this crap to happen and we get a playoff
