The history of Hauck losses in big games by one or two points is pretty long.

This was gut-wrenching, but no where near an undefeated Griz team losing to Villanova in the NC, 23-21 on a day when the couldn’t cover or tackle Szczur in the second half & unbelievably couldn’t find Mariani who went for 9/178/1 in the first half. That was the week after taking out App State in one of most classic of all Griz games.

That game was soul-crushing. A 6-4 team who lost 3 straight in their last five games prior can’t be taken too seriously, even if it’s the state ag tilt.

Yup, I was at the Villanova game too. We wondered who had changed into the Griz unis at half-time.

What excuse will Bobby make?

He won’t make excuses. Why would he? It was a tough game. They got beat by a team who has seen consistency for three years. Bobby inherited Stitt’s team and attitude. He is on his first year back as HC with a very thin line, bad secondary and running backs that were either young or built to run through holes and makes guys miss at the second level. Defense has some issues as well. Long ways to go. CHILL

Call it excuses or call it “gotten used to losing.” I call it being realistic. How many coaches in the past 8 years. Look at that o line and how thin it was. Jesus, the secondary had a receiver starting/playing CB. Eastwood is a pup and Lee is not made for 5 yards and a cloud of dust. New QB, new system, new coaches and yet - they still almost won that game and should have won atleast one if not two more this season. Fans are ass hats anymore and got used to winning way too often and easily. I am being accused of getting used to losing too often and it has me making excuses. Fair enough. I will put it right back on the rest of you. You got spoiled and used to winning. The program and school shot itself in the damn foot. Now you rebuild and have some pain. You lose some games and some fans. That is the price of righting the ship. Now suck it up butter cups and remember this feeling. Next time the Griz are on top people won’t take it for granted. Will BH get them there? Probably, but definitely needs to change some things. He probably won’t have a choice. Let him get his guys before we burn the stadium down.

Honestly, the Portland State loss this year is by far the worst one I can remember. Not the hardest loss or most gut-wrenching, but the worst.

I just don’t get why we blew every game in the second half this year. He needs to take responsibility for that and fix it fast.

Jesu Christe! It comes down to depth plain and simple. We will be able to piss pound teams into submission in the 4th quarter in the near future just like 2003-2009. Just give the guy a chance to get all of his boys across the board. There was no magic adjustments made by other teams in the 2nd half, they just wore our two deep down (where we were two deep). Hauck's first time around he was handed the keys to a cadillac and he kept it polished. This time it is more like a Pinto, without the power train mind you.
