With the FBS playoffs, is anyone even remotely interested in the non-playoff bowl games?

I would be interested in the FCS playoffs if the Griz were still in them. Or if there’s no other big CFB games on and it’s a competitive game. But if it’s just watching an MVFC team beat someone up or msu I’m not really into it.

I've never been interested in the bowl games, though I'll watch the Rose Bowl on occasion and I've been to a few which are a good time.

The FBS playoff is the first time I've been interested in watching FBS post season.

First Friday football game at Notre Dame stadium ever.

First for the stadium. The program did apparently host a Friday game in the early 1900’s, but not in that stadium. Having a program like Notre Dame kick off the new playoff era is good for the optics. I hope it’s not long before we see more than just first round games being hosted on campuses and not bowl games.

My guess is they will go down.

I did enjoy most of the Tulane v Florida game. Saw Tulane in person this year, so had a connection.

I will watch Army and Navy games. I will also watch a BIG and Big 12 school in their games...have daughters attending.

Otherwise - the playoff is going to steal the oxygen.
Tulanes campus is beautiful if anyone ever gets the chance to go see it in New Orleans. One of my favorite neighborhoods in the entire country.

This is honestly the first season I've been remotely interested in watching the FBS postseason, and tonight's game and atmosphere at Notre Dame was fire.

I think the FBS needs to make all playoff games be played at the highest-seed's home venue and then cap it with then national championship game on a neutral site. Do that, and it's going to be absolutely bonkers at the FBS level.

I agree. Even though Indiana either got dominated or didn't show up, it was a nice game and great atmosphere. I wanted ND to win, but I kept cheering for Indiana to make it a game.

FBS needs to copy the FCS playoff format. It is the greatest postseason in sports. We saw a glimpse tonight of what an FCS tournament with FBS teams would look like.
