Will Jamal Wilson Carry the Rock...Even Once This Season?

Okay, objectively, how many times did he fumble last year?

That was my thought too. Maybe 5700's been doing some day-drinking.

Did he have any carries at all last year? I can't remember if he did or not.

He's gonna be way to busy blocking outside linebackers and defensive ends to get a carry.

Other than being a big guy who can put body on a someone, he brings little to the offense. He is a liability carrying the ball. Doesn't run guys over or deliver the blow when he rarely does carry the rock. Probably a result of his fumblitis. Just because he's a big rb doesn't mean he dolls out Dan Moore brutality on anyone in his path.

And really I don't understand the FB in this offense with the skill players we have. Be different if we had a Dan Moore type of athlete at FB, but we don't. Anyone have an idea of what the FB brings to this offense?

We have athletic playmakers at RB/WR... Great teams adapt and get their best athletes on the field. If we're going to use 2 back sets, Id go with Nguyen/Canada, Canada/Van, Van/Logwood. Guys who are a threat with the ball. And I bet John Nguyen is capable and more than willing to block a LB or chip a DE. Nguyen has really impressed me.

This has to be in the running for the worst post of the year. Jamal Wilson had not a single carry last season, therefore he could not fumble. Can't deliver a blow when he did get the rock, because he NEVER got the rock. Let's go back to square one here for you; the Griz are the team in maroon jerseys if you can see an M on the mountain behind the stadium. Otherwise they are in white. Spend a year getting that baby step down and then by all means try again next year. :evil:

You do realize putting our best athletes on the field won't do any good with no blocking for them. We have a very inexperienced and untested line, so having an extra blocker really helps. He proved his value leading the way last year, and with this line he will be more valuable this season. You talk about him having fumblitis but he never had one. Then you talk up Dan Moore like he was the greatest thing ever. As I remember he had quite a few fumbles and he was injured quite a bit. I liked watching Moore but he had some costly fumbles.
