Will Coach run Counts against ND?

Yep. What a waste of a red-shirt. Dumbest thing I've seen since Pflu burnt JJ's for 3-plays a game. Kirsch should have stepped right into Dan's role... and Counts could have been the emergency option if #4 went down. I'm looking for a "blurry" line to explain this decision, but all I come up with we have short-sighted dumbass's running our program right now.

Ahead of them? No. If Canada would ever get healthy, he'd be one of the best in the conference, and Nguyen works his ass off and has done a good job.

But Counts and/or Kirschner should be in the game in certain situations at the very least. What do we have to lose?

Canada is one of the slowest backs in the conference. The guy gets caught from behind all the time... :coffee:
 
Why are you guys worried about playing UND's defense? Have you seen their stats? I don't think playing a true freshman is gonna help or hurt against this defense unless they begin stopping an offensive drive.

Have you seen our defense? Corners playing ten yards off. Safeties who don't drive thru tackles. Outside linebackers not dominating or performing to a talent level we've been "annointing" them with for the past six months. Schemes that are more "bend and try-not-to-break" than "attack and destroy".

Have you seen our offense? In the first half you'll see it. After we get a lead we may need your help to find it again though.

Maybe we can combine forces on our search party and find both our 2nd half offense and your defense :)

If UND's D is in the shape that I think they're in 2 or 3 big blockers should blow open some big plays. And even if things start to fall apart like they start blitzing every play I'm sure McKinney could get out and get sone yards. Hell, even some screen plays could be effective as long as they've got some big blockers out in front and inside
