I think it might be better for the Head Coach to have a series of meetings with his coaches and teach them the basics and objectives of teaching the players their responsibilities on field.

Have a real come-to-Jesus talk about last year's season and subsequent melt-down? I mean, what would be the harm in convening a meeting to air gripes, concerns, suggestions and overall observations, especially from the graduating seniors on how to improve next season? This should be moderated by someone other than the HC and coaching staff. They should be included but there should be no reprisals and they should only be listeners. Let the players, who worked so hard together, offer their individual thoughts and collective ideas for a better outcome next year. Is this ever done?

As others on here have said, Yes. However, I believe that players, sans coaches, should have these sessions. Maybe already done. Every team needs its on-field, on-court, on-pool, etc., leader(s). These are the leaders that translate the coaches' teachings, strategies, etc., to the players, game to game, and provide the fire to other players, by backing up their own performance on the field, court, or pool.

A hypothesis, here: Leadership of any football program goes like this: players>players; players>coaching staff; coaching staff>AD; AD>admin; admin.>fans/public. Could be in reverse. Yet, if players are not executing on the field, the rest is BS.

Well there's...and there's...that time when...ok, other than that statement, everything's true.

I've seen your cheerleaders. They are easy on the eyes. That's a positive that you got to watch them at all the games.


Has anyone been a part of a bitch session? Because let's call it what it is. They suck. People feel ganged up on. Feelings get hurt. They don't accomplish what people think they do. In my opinion they make divisions worse.
