Sure would be nice if the Griz:
1. Dumped Ferris (playing a top tier D2 team has no upside)
2. Moved Butler to that weekend (schedule seems wide open)
3. Added Weber to 9/2, since the Griz don't play them next year but I'm sure neither will give up home field without a price for a non-conference match-up.
(would have gone with EWU but their schedule is full)

2b. Added Cal Poly, who happens to have 9/16 open.
2c. Go get a pay game@UT st. @AF, @NMSU or @UNM

Hopefully they can do something because those 2 opening home games aren't very appetizing for fans that have to travel.

Weber might be willing to do that if the Griz return a game to Ogden as an OOC game in the next few years. Weber did that with Sac and Poly before.

I'm not a huge fan of scheduling conference mates as OOC games but like stated before it is hard to schedule out west when there are so little teams to pull from.

I think the conference should encourage conference teams to play each other OOC if they aren't in rotation. It produces fan-friendly early games, and eases the scheduling challenges for ADs.

What might it do to the inevitable early playoff games against conference opponents? It might eliminate some of them because they already played? I don't know.

I think the other two were by a player who came here and searched his own name from the past, and wanted to get some things off of his chest. I hope it was cathartic for him.
