Why/how does paying players make the college game better?

I agree. At this point, it makes sense for BIG and SEC football to break away. I just don't see how the other conferences / teams will keep up.

It will also be interesting to see how Title IX is applied in the new constructs.

I don't think this should surprise too many. Once the NIL fiasco was approved and put into place, I think most of us could see this coming down the tracks FULL SPEED !

Agree with all. We are watching the destruction of college sports.

I think Olympic sports are in big trouble with this trajectory.

Cutting sports is one way they might save revenue to distribute.

We might see some schools have only football, men's bb, and collection of women's sports for T IX compliance.

What's crazy to me is there are only about 25 D1 schools that are revenue positive right now...all others lose money every year. All FCS schools are revenue negative.

I don't even understand where the revenue to share is.
