Whose quarterbacking next year?

When is JJ's trial? I thought I heard it was in January. If it is, we will know soon whether he will be the man next season. I hear he wants to come back and play for us. If he is not acquitted (which I think is virtually impossible from what I have read), then I think we bring in a drop-down QB. TM and SSH are definitely not the answer.

JJ had told multiple ppl he will be back to play for the griz next year! Assuming he is not in jail

Are you kidding me? After what he's been through on this campus and in this town, I wouldn't be surprised to see him Q-backing and starting his life over at another school. If innocent, you'll probably only see him here conferring with his attorney over pending lawsuits. Just sayin'.

Watched Alabama lose to A&M yesterday. Interesting. One of the teams had a quarterback, the other, not so much.

Sorry folks but if anyone thinks they will see JJ in a Griz uniform again is sorely mistaken IMO. If JJ is guilty then 100% no way. If found innosect WHY in the world would JJ want to stay in Missoula and play for the Griz. I would think that JJ would feel the University turned there back on him. The one person that stood up for him was fired! If he remains a Griz this will follow him every game and sadly would be talked about more than his play on the field. I for one would not blame the kid one bit if he is found innocent that he tells UM to shove it. If he is innocent we should be happy for the kid and wish him well on his next stop where maybe this crap does not follow him. If he is found guilty then he needs to do the time for the crime!

As for who will be QB for the Griz next season, no idea at this point. Oddly this team has put up some amazing offensive stats this year. Not being able to protect against the pass has killed us. Had our D played just a little better this season we might be in a bit better spot.

I think once this season ends many questions arise with coaching, coordinators, current players, recruits. Let's just hope that any coaching changes happen quickly so quality coaches can be found to replace. I think more than anything that will be important. That and maybe going drop down and JC route for some corners.
If it were me and I was innocent, I'd stay here and play for sure. I think it would be fucking awesome to make the head fuck watch me win and then have to read about me every fucking Saturday. I'd personally deliver him the Sunday paper.

I wouldn't say AJ McCarron is a bad QB. 2100 yards, 66% completion rate, 20 TD's and 2 INT's...yeah, I'd take those numbers from our QB's. The reason Alabama lost is because their defense sat back and let Johnny Football run around instead of attacking him. Great game to watch though, Johnny Football is gonna run college football for the next 3 years.

Johnny's a good one, but I'd take Marcus over him for the next three years in a flash. Better passer, and can run, too, when he needs to. Highest passer efficiency rating in the BCS, and 6.6 yards per carry (6.5 yards/carry for Manziel).

Amazing that Manziel almost ended up at Oregon. One of those guys would be riding pine or playing receiver.

Johnny Football is amazing.... scratch golfer, etc. etc. etc. I liked how the one analyst put it, "A&M ran three different plays every down". I'd say both teams had a QB. McCarron, 6-4, 210 Jr., will be playing in the NFL. Manziel, 6-1, 200 Fr., has AMAZING stats, but he'd have to find an offense that fits his game in the NFL. He's completing 67.6% of his passes, 2780-18-6, and has rushed for 1014 yards and 15 TD's.
Do you know who Texas A&M plays next week... SAM HOUSTON ST.
Do you think there'll be an "after 'Bama" letdown and the Bearkats pull one off???

We can chat all we like concerning our QB for next season. It will be the coaching staff that is the big question? In the end that will determine just which QB is the man. Today and for the most part of the season I have watched AB (breastcheck) practice and I sure as hell would give him the a shot. He looks very good (to me) in practice so why not give the young guy a shot?

We will look back at this season and all will agree the coaching is what has doomed us for the most part.
No matter what, our next years team will out perform this years team!

Umista: Don't you think it is important for the coach to have talented players at the skill positions before he can win against much improved Big Sky competition?
