WOW, finally got to listen to the whole Bobby Hauck press conference of his hiring. After listening to that, GRIZ football season cannot get here soon enough!!!
I am shocked, he came back home for less than $200k base salary. I am sure the incentives have to be pretty lucrative. With that said, I can completely relate to returning home to Montana, despite lower pay. I returned home for the love I have for the state and the people, and so many things one cannot put a price tag on. I definitely believe, he is back for his love of the state, the university, and GRIZ football. I could tell how proud he is to again be the Head Coach of the Montana Grizzlies, how proud he is to represent the university and the state. I sensed a high level of Montana Pride from him, that outsiders just don't understand. I could see how proud Bobby is of his family. I can honestly tell, he knows he is back home. I doubt, he cares much about the money. I have a feeling, he will be here until he chooses to retire. I sense, he will have other Montana born and raised staff, he will have the program prepared with his successor, when he does hang up the coaching whistle.
The man did amazing things his 1st time around here. It is encouraging to see his humorous side too. Yes, he is confident and even cocky, but I did not see much arrogance. He seems to be more likable and personable than before. The man surely has matured, personally and professionally since leaving here. Hell, I want to go to war with him and put on the pads again!!! I cannot imagine, how the players, recruits, and parents will feel after listening to him, face to face.
He was honest in saying, he cannot put a time frame on what he wants to accomplish, but will give us an idea, once he evaluates everything. I am so ready to visit Frisco with GRIZ NATION sometime in the next few years. #montanatough, #montanapride, #poorbobcats, #returntodominance. I did leave out a new word I have for Hauck, but will save it for later.
