93 Delaware. Cold. Decided by a Andy Larson missed extra point.

Why? because it fu@king sucked. We were getting a taste of the explosiveness of a Dave Dickenson led team.

2002 loss to Cats. Weird end of the year. Approx. 12 players who started at the beginning of year were not playing in the Cat game. Even Kramer commented they probably would have forfeited the game if they had as many injuries as we did. Fabulous group of players stood on sideline.

Umass 1 word-Swogger. Could not hit an open receiver.

Wofford. Frustrating game. We got out coached in that game, but Lex had a screw coming out of his had and he was not the same. Fluke miss of FG. This is second worst loss.

CCU-too much to point out. not prepared for cold, not prepared... not throwing the ball underneath to multiple open receivers. refs were part of it and so on. There are so many frustrating points that this becomes the worst cold weather loss.

The Wofford game goes down as worst IMO because the Griz were undefeated and a top seed with a sure shot at homefield advantage throughout. That game gave us a taste of things to come with being out coached, repetitive ineffective play calling and missed field goals. The inaccurate passing like UMass seems a little familiar as of late as well.

The most recent loss was really not that much of a shocker all things considered but was definitely up there with most frustrating no doubt. Again, I would point out being out coached along with out played and not prepared for cold or the game.

Yeah, that game did suck bad. I thought it was in 94 the year before they won it all.

2009 Wofford???

How did the Griz lose that game and still play for the title.

How about 2007 while UMass was 2006 for back to back playoff losses at home...

Nope, 94 was Northern Iowa in the first round, The 2nd round was Wilberger's legendary comback win Macneese st. in the snow, and then the not-so-great result in Youngstown st.

Thanks, I guess 93 playoffs is when I really started following the Griz then. Good to know.

After a little research I think UMass could qualify for the worst since it was the first time the Griz lost a home semi-final game and they were on a 12 game winning streak. So they were a field goal away from playing in the championship game that season.

The Griz sure did have great runs under Bobby Hauck even though he could never seal the deal. I blame that mainly on Phenicie and a little on Paulson but mainly on Rob because the Griz offense always struggled in the championship game and that is due to his predictable style.

More importantly, didn't each of those teams lose their next game due to the worst hangover of them all?

I had this game on the list but deleted it because let's face it most "Griz fans" started caring about this program 5-8 years ago and wouldn't have a clue about that missed xp in OT.

Hell most don't even know the Wofford game was in 2007.

2006 UMASS. Those guys were good. If I recall, there was a lot of chatter about those sea level guys not being able to play at elevation.

And yet I get called a bad fan by gettdouchy for questioning the years

The years are wrong because Alpha is dumb and didn't even know. Then he talks down to people about not knowing the right years, the arrogance is appalling but expected. If people would just stop posting in this morons threads he would go away and this place would get back to being a good place to visit. Ignore the attention whore and they go away.

The irony of this can't POSSIBLY escape you. Then again....

I agree with Delaware in 93. It was damn cold and the team was taking off big time. This was when Boise St and Idaho were still in the Big Sky.
