Where is Big Game Brent Vigen on most FCS playoff wins?

Bobby Hauck is third all time with 19 FCS playoff wins with the most of any active FCS coach. I didn’t see where Brent Vigen ranked, it probably isn’t very high though.

I believe Bobby is also 14th or so in career FCS coaching victories. Unfortunately him and Vigen are tied for 32nd in FCS Championships😁.

He is pacing well going into his 5th year as a head coach I’d say. Gotta give credit where it’s due.
He's the fastest coach to 40 wins in conference history, and yes that means he's winning at a higher pace than Bobby. In 4 seasons, he's earned 47 wins, 2 BSC championships (each at 8-0), and two 2nd place finishes. Although much like Bobby, he hasn't been able to win the big one. He will also need to win in Missoula to truly solidify his Bobcat legacy. He's got one year left to hit the two remaining goals.

On that, it's an absolute gift for the Cats to have one more year with Vigen. We're getting an FBS coach for FCS pricing. Aside from the obvious mismatch today, look for the Cats to make another legitimate run this year. This team will be elite in both trenches, and as anyone who's played the game at a meaningful level will tell you, that will carry the day on Saturdays this fall.

With a few MWC teams (in particular Wyoming) not happy with their current coach I think Vigen is gone after this year. Especially if Wyoming is fed up with Bray, fans/boosters are not happy, especially after only scoring 10pts vs Akron

Isn't year 5-6 (with covid extra year) the first year you can say he's playing with his recruits? Won't this be the "bell weather" year? I agree with your trenches statement and we'll certainly see what they got in the trenches today.

sorry but he stays in Bozangeles until Grant wins a title and a big NIL deal to FBS. so four more years.

Vigen had Tommy Mellott all his years as the coach of the kittens
Now, if the kittens don't do well this year could it mean that Tommy was more valuable to the kittens then anyone thought?
This is where Vigen's true coaching ability becomes apparent. How will he coach and handle a new QB when the MVP to the team has left?

I just don't see this trajectory as the primary model anymore. It largely hasn't worked.

Choate's route is probably more likely or these non - P4 teams will simply take P4 position coaches or coordinators directly.

Entz vs Jimmy Rodger. We will see who has more success in year 1 and the route they took. Probably will dictate a lot.
