What will the Griz be ranked next week?

I say #5! Any opinions? Probably not!

Tomorrow, when all the results are in, I'll do my poll guesses. I would not normally do that for another couple of weeks, but there have been so many interesting results this weekend ... I just can't resist. Later in the year, when some patterns have been established, I do really, really well with my guesses -- if I do say so myself. Not sure how I'll do this early in the season, but: What the Hell!

Who made you sheriff of polls and rankings? Since most of the top-10 teams won (except EWU, which lost to #1), I would not expect the Griz to move as high as #5, even if they did beat the #3 team. That's just not how the polls usually work. My preliminary guess would be that the Griz will "replace" EWU at about #8, but I'll still wait to make a reasoned guess rather than pulling something out of my a**.

Griz won't crack the top 10, and UNI won't fall out of the top 10. That' just how the early season polls work.
I'd guess Griz 11, UNI 7.

Griz likely won't pass:
#9 South Dakota State won (plus had a competitive game last week against TCU), #10 Illinois State beat a FBS today, #12 James Madison has won by 35+ each of the past two weeks

Griz likely will pass:
#11 McNeese State (losing to Louisiana-Lafayette), #13 William & Mary beat Hampton

Maybe:
#7 Charleston Southern got hammered by Florida State
#8 EWU played pretty well against NDSU on the road (doubt EWU will drop much or at all)

Normally, I would guess #11 or #12 based off the surrounding results but it's early enough (meaning more drastic moves) and I think the win will get enough attention that the Griz will be #10 next week.

UM I believe will be ranked #10. I however would not be shocked if we came in at #12.
