What should we expect to see tonight from the griz?
Will ward and jamaar set the pace and lead the way? Will the griz play up tempo? will the griz have any luck down low or rely on the three? Which new faces could have a impact?
How good is csu???

It was good to see the griz get a solid win last week compared to the last couple years where the exhibition game was real close.

My take, CSU with the experience of 5 seniors starting will win this game at home.

GrizLA, the loss of Cherry is a big factor in this game due to the lack of experience at the guard position.

I agree CSU is a good team and Tinkle will be trying different combinations to see what will work and who can do what, while trying to get the team ready for Conference. This will probably mean some players out of position or playing in the system instead of in their absolute strengths (wouldn't surprise me to see someone get a hot hand and start bombing 3s and not running the offense get benched, even if they are making them). Key thing tonight is getting smooth at running the system and learning roles.

No Cherry (for a while) or Coleman tonight. The Griz also face a big challenge given how thin they are at the post. I expect some rough sledding early in the season.

No Cherry, no Coleman. This will be a tough debut because CSU is returning 4 solid starters from a team that went to the NCAAs. Larry Eustachy is a new, but veteran, coach.

I'd expect the rams to double up on Jamar (expecting him to run the offense) so it'll be up to Keron to handle the ball well & get some penetration for an inside-outside game. Expect some of the Griz perimeter shooters to have license to shoot early, particularly if KJ & Gregory get some open looks. Might be tough to score in the paint tonight. Someone will have to step up & board in Coleman's absence (word was that Spencer might get some court time... a decision to be made at game time). Would love to see Ward get some looks at the ft extended.

I hope Tinks throws Martin right in the fire. We gotta get him ready and fast, the only way is to play a bunch of minutes against good teams. Tonight will be a great opportunity for Martin to develop.

Yes CSU is listed on the Top 25 as getting votes. That doesn't bode well for UM, however, it will be a good opportunity as has been mentioned to get young kids some quality time that will pay off in the near future.
