What is it with Texas Tech and Big Ten basketball coaches?

After all the cr@p with Bob Knight, it looks like their women's coach is in some hot H2O as well. An assistant at Purdue wrote a paper for a player, but the HC said nothing improper happened, even after she supposedly investigated TWICE. TT is getting off, but if this assistant gets hired anywhere, both that assistant AND her new school have to go before the NCAA to justify not limiting her duties. Purdue is on probation.

Another case of a coach failing to control a program and getting over while the school (not to mention the players) gets screwed.

Like one has a single iota to do with the other.

Individually, they don't, GB. But taken together, it indicates that the school has a problem in their due dilligence process. One would think that at some point, ONE of these coaches is going to get TT on probation.

Tell me how due dilligence could have possibly played a role in Bobby Knight's case since you were the one making the comarison.

Would Montana hire a coach who's been known to assault his players, have five-year-old chair-throwing temper tantrums, and tell the officials where to go?

I certainly wouldn't want any as-yet non-existent kids of mine playing for a coach like that. And if that's the case, I can hardly condone a university hiring one like that. It's one thing to get pi$$ed, righteously indignant, or whatever you want to call it. But choking players and tossing chairs is most definitely NOT the way to go about it.
