What does Delaney have to do to earn a contract extension?

we haven't had a legal issue since april. almost four months. i'm confident that'll continue through the season.

This. He and his staff are out of excuses this year. Anything worse than 8-4, and I think we have a new coaching regime next year.

Agreed. Montana has very good talent. With the NCAA investigation over and a less than stellar year a comprehensive search could happen. IMO we are going to be very good this year.........10-2 or 9-3.

I disagree, I think RE is very concerned about the direction the program goes, I also think he has confidence that MD is heading in the right direction as far as cleaning up the program is concerned. If MD wants to keep coaching after this season I don't see RE firing him no matter what the overall record is barring some real disaster. I could however see MD stepping down if he is worse than 6-6. Everyone knows we have talent but that doesn't always correlate to wins. There has been lots of turmoil and coaching upheaval around here and I'm not going to be surprised if it is a disappointing year for a lot of the fans.

That is why buddy that, "Tradition" lives in Missoula, not Bozeman!! We expect every year to be sniffing around the Chattanooga, Frisco, or wherever it maybe; around December. One and done in the playoffs is not good enough for us, we have already got that shirt a few times. Like others have said, there are other winning coaches out there that can run a clean program!
 
give the head phones and knobs to a student assistant, ...let the other coaches do their job and to make game time adjustments and we will be fine......
