they play Division 2 football, but they show their games on the FOX affiliate out here in Los Angeles every once in awhile and for a tiny school they pack 'em in. I have no idea how big their stadium is, but figured Northern Colorado might like an in state partner.
Any rumors, chances, of them moving up? Any thoughts on their program in general?

Just curious.

There is way too many college programs in the Denver area to support, for the population. They have good community support from Golden residents, though.

Mines is a good division 2 team. They usually do pretty well, some years make the Division 2 playoffs. Mines is a good school academically, so it's hard to find players who can play and do the school work. Small stadium, holds a few hundred I think. Overall a better team and a much better school than Western State or Fort Lewis.

I had only heard of them from their unique name, surprised to see FOX showing their game. But the stadium was packed (small that it is) and they played some pretty good football.

Was very impressed by them. But I guess they're too small to ever move up.

Actually Altitude (I think, I suppose it could be Fox) has an RMAC game of the week every saturday, so those teams are on TV in Denver occasionally. I can't imagine Mines moving up, not nearly enough funding. Mines is a very good engineering school, hard to get into and not many female students.
