Lobo fan here, me and some of my friends have tickets in the Montana section since the UNM allotment sold out so quick. What will be expecting from those that go out there. A bunch of die hards that know basketball and respect a good game, or quick tempered ones that will get mad when we cheer? I am hoping for a good game (which in my terms is a UNM blow out win) and want to enjoy San Jose and the tournament. here is to a hard fought Lobo Victory!

1. Some good-natured trash-talk.
2. Some ill-tempered trailer trash.
But both #1 and #2 will buy you a drink after the game, because there is a high percentage of alcoholism amongst our fans.

well if its anything like our homegames...there won't be any fans our school does a terrible job supporting the bball team. But when it comes 2 football you can't find a ticket. Why you ask???well because many of our football fans aren't the smartest when it comes to competitive play. Our football team is about as good as ur team at New Mexico but unlike you guys who play in the Mtn West and in Division 1...we play in the laughable FCS against smaller weaker teams. However our fans justify wins against these teams and the football ego has replaced every other sport on campus. Our hoops team doesn't have the pretty record like our football team but our hoops team plays big time opponents like pac 10 schools mtn west schools etc...our fans tend to not understand this and Montanan's really get all bent out of shape when more out of state players play on the team than instate which is the stupidest logic ever...In my opinion we need to get the best players available i could care less if they are from glendive montana or los angeles california...basically to sum it all up it will be an older croud in San Jose who will be sitting down the whole time not making noise and i'm sure u guys will have a large student croud...me and my friends will be there however and we'll make up for the quite old crowd

I'll be there with my wife, Bluella-Iris, and two of my sons. You can bet that we'll be shouting our dang heads off! We don't drink in our family so don't count on a drink after the game, but we would happily give any Lobo fan a backrub. That's what we do in our family. We massage each other. We plan on bringing our tailgatin' RV to the arena, so just look for the one with a giant griz emblem on the side. Hope to meet some nice, young Lobos fans! Good luck and goooo griz.

this thread is getting weird fast. so far lobo fans can expect older, white-trash fans who may buy you a drink and then give you a massage. lobo fans, check your drink for roofies or you may get a massage you don't want!

Count me in as one of the "aren't the smartest" and proud of it... but I do understand your logic... if we move up to FBS, maybe we can go 6-6 and get a bid to the "Pooter Fart Machine Bowl" in Fargo...
