I'm sitting here watching clemson game, and they run very similar plays. Difference (other than athletes) are:
1. Snap gets back there quickly
2. QB throws and lets the receivers make plays
3. They are using tempo...thought Stitt liked tempo?

Dropped TD pass by Bingham, Curren overthrown in the end zone, missed extra point, missed 23 yd field goal multiple dropped passed to Curren. Why have him in there when he can't catch? Stitt that pissed about Homan fumbling to keep him out of the game??? Stupid penalty by Kidder....O line struggling again...pressure mounting on Stitt for sure. Now 0-4 on the road in conference this year.....ouch

I think Bingham lost his drop (in end zone) in the sun. Sun was coming right over qb at him. Note his play on the ball look funny. Turned and jumped funny. He has terrific hands. He wasn't close to catching that one, and I think we'll find out he lost or couldn't find it in the sun.

Hard to fault the big guy who makes every catch in traffic.

Chalich 24 for 76 carries. 3.2 per carry.

NC 47 plays for 241; UM 94 plays for 400.

UM 9 for 22 on 3d down conversions.

Too many mistakes. Didn't make plays when we needed to. Receivers back to not getting the tough balls. D couldn't stop last drive. O coulddn't make comeback drive.

Dissappointing. Missed BG, in my view.

Chalich needed to stand in the pocket and pass the dam ball! Every snap to him all he could think about was running 1st!
This Stitt offense can't beat anyone good! He is an NAIA coach at best! Granted the players didn't make some plays and made some mistakes, but they are doing what their coach tells them! I am rooting for the Bobcats next week! At least they know discipline!
Throw the ball 9 yds on 4th and 12....
Unsportmans like conduct on a kneel down?
Ball hit receivers in the hands and drooped!
One pass over 10 yds thrown in the game!
I blame only Stitt!

And Chalich for the 9 yds on 4 & 12

Wow we don't deserve a playoff bid even if we would have won that game. NC outplayed us, and they deserved the win. Sad day for Griz nation, I'm really unhappy with Stitts offensive scheme as of late. I honestly think his offense is just TOO SIMPLE for FCS. It might have worked back at the school of mines but it's not working here... maybe we should have a dedicated Offensive Coordinator instead of Stitt being the OC and Head Coach, looks like he can't do both at once very well...
I disagree, we didn't get outplayed, kids played hard, but I do believe we were outcoached starting in spring with a lack of emphasis on special teams and really a lot of fundamental mistakes with tackling etc. I only saw a few places where kids looked like they let up on a play too soon. I felt they put in a great effort considering the special team let down that can play in your mind. Unfortunate that should have been one of our easy games. I was not impressed with ncu.

I still stand by that they outplayed us where it counted, and they deserved to beat us today. Our team looked flat out of the gate, our special teams is a nightmare right now (we've missed around 10 PAT's this year, and that miffed punt by #35 is icing on the special teams stitt cake). Nonetheless I stand by this team, as my veins pump maroon colored blood and I am still rooting on the Griz come Brawl of the Wild time. I might not agree with the coaches, but I stand with the players and root for them through thick and thin.

Coaches didn't give the QB a chance to be effective. Hardly passed for 3 quarters after he passed for 7 touchdowns last week. The 5 yards and a cloud of dust offense doesn't cut it.

So you're saying we couldn't draw up a slant play? That's down the field.. and doesn't take TOO long to develop.. UNC's defense isn't that good! Maybe if we were playing another team such as the Bison then I might agree with that statement, but its UNC for crying out loud

A slant is like a 5-7 yard play, hardly a "down the field" type play

yeah but its more down the field than a screen pass, and if you catch the wide out in stride and have an opening that 5-7 yard play can turn into much more, as Northern Colorodo showed us early on in the game with their first Touchdown pass... but go ahead, you carry on...

seriously, did you even notice how UNC was lining up defensively

No I was too busy watching our team run the football instead of drop back to pass it down the field

I will let you in on something, the reason they were running the ball is the same reason they were not going down the field in the passing game.

Yes. The Griz had a few stretches where they ran it right down UNCs throat. UNC routinely putting only 5-6 in the box. Then, despite the success running the ball and no change to defensive scheme, Stitt would dial up back-to-back-to-back passes. :x

Are you suggesting our receivers aren't good enough to beat the defense, so we resort to a running game with a OL still lacking in blocking?

Best call on the prediction thread.

If a defense shows up as prepared as was against ISU, mark it down as a loss. If Semore reads "defense for dummies" between now and then, it's a dead heat and will come down to the wire. UM better offense, defense in NC's favor and special teams goes easily to NC (and I have no clue how good they are, but doesn't matter Griz have a "not so special" team on kickoffs/returns. Griz lose 27-35 and Stitt says were a play or two from winning and sugar coaters say, just wait until he gets his recruits.

Whetever. I am not saying it is right or wrong. I am saying that is why they do what they do. But I don't believe our WR's are capable of beating 6 or more players in coverage when the OL can't slow down 3 or 4 man rushes or show the ability to run the ball against them.
