I've returned from our tour of Weber State.
Honestly, very impressed. Their campus message, was extremely positive and they offer a tremendous amount of opportunity, for a college student to succeed.

Campus, while more condensed (size wise) than UM was beautiful. The administration has made serious efforts and directed resources back into their buildings. All the campus buildings that we toured, were beautiful, including their "Union" (UC) building. If we didn't tour it, we walked past it, and those buildings at least looked remodeled and current.
Small little man made river flowing through campus, down to a huge fountain.

Athletic and sports facilities were pretty darn nice. (No, WA Griz, is her own). They do have their own "champions" type center. May have been built during the Olympics but it was also pretty modern looking (at least a face lift outside, didn't get to tour it). That building, along with the Dee Center (main basketball pavillion) is off campus by a few blocks. Dee Center is quite large from the outside.

This is a BigSky school/rival we should continue to support. I think they help contribute to be a part of our conference.

Just thought you would like to know!

Weber's peer institutions are seniors long term care facilities in other Big Sky towns. If your student is a recent high school graduate they are going to be facing a generational age gap with most of the student body. When I was at U of M in the late 1980's, the Wildcats had a guy on their cross country team who had been an extra in Our American Cousin.
