Weber State Montana part 3

Also, lilliard is the best ballplayer I have seen in person in a college game....he is by large leaps better than anyone in the Big Sky. If he wasn't a team player, he could score sixty every night and there is not a god damned thing anyone could do about it.

No doubt Lillard is the man, but Rodney Stuckey put him to shame. The guy was a man amongst boys in every game he played in this conference. Lillard is good, but I don't see him having anywhere near the career in the NBA that Stuckey has.

don't agree...Lilliard is much more patient with team first then stuckey was. Stuckey was good no doubt, but Lilliard's better, and even if stuckey was slightly better....no way in hell does he put him to shame.

Lillard has much better surrounding talent than Stuckey ever had. Stuckey would do awesome with this Weber State team too.

I am watching the game again. The GRIZ scored 43 points in the final 14 minutes!!!! That is over 120 point pace for a whole game.

Haven't read the last posts, so I apologize if I repeat... Kareem Jamar is a straight up sick baller.. Straight and simple.. Montana is lucky to have a player like that... and as ridiculous as Will Cherry is, I think Kareem will be better... Which is insane. Props to Wayne.. Montana's team is heading skyward. Need a new strong post though...

The GRIZ have one on the roster already, in Reader. He just needs to get his damn head together with grades. I hear good things about the 7' recruit we signed as well.

Reader is getting the help he needs now and he told me the seven footer coming in should be incredible.

Hope your right, because this team seems pretty stacked if the young guys turn out. Could be a Gonzaga sorta turn. I understand that's a mouthful, but the Griz have some great young players. And with Cherry and Jamar, wow.... Exciting times!! :thumb:

dahlberg looked like an impressive major-college arena. loud but not insane like football. not to the level of the cameron crazies. or the zoo. something's still missisng.

Dahlberg was rockin and it showed very well on ESPN2. The fans were loud and large (see 2506's post). During the second half surge, the Griz look like world beaters. Kentucky, schmucky, bring em. ;)

As to "something's still missing", as a former member of The Zoo I believe I can identify it. The missing ingredient is large amounts of alcohol, combined with the students being right down on the floor.

Being at eye level with the opponent made it very difficult for them to resist our witty and charming ways. Others may have described us in different terms, but what do they know. Watching their players begin to react to us just fueled our whiskey stoked fire. Before long the Zoo was in full roar!

Sorry, I admit "put to shame" is way too harsh of a comparison. Look at Stuckey, he is the best player on an NBA team. Granted, Detroit is horrible this year, but the guy is averaging over 18 a game for the past month. Not saying Lillard won't have a good career either. I just think he'll be more of a role player, spark off the bench type than a pure scorer.

Plus, do the think Lillard will ever be able to do this against one of the best defenders in the league?

That is great! I am looking forward to yelling the "You got swatted" chant at the opposing teams in the Adams Center a ton next season.

i am looking foward to watching nick emerson out of C-Falls! he looks quick, athletic, very light on his feet, jumps well and has a GREAT looking jump shot...i know i base this on what i have seen from warmups and shoot around...but i see the potential and as a freshman next year, he has alot of room to grow!
