Wow, what just happened...it's now 27-19 thanks to Cincy's pressure.

Looks like Weber was hanging right with Cincy... Weber was only down by a point or two when I pulled it up on ESPN's site (something like 19-20) but as I was looking at the stats Cincy just took a 27-19 lead :(

Weber seems to be having a real tough time with turnovers so far... now down 30-19 :( Weber has 14 turnovers to Cincy's 7.. Lillard and Panos both have two fouls too (and are having kind of rough games so far).

Other than that Weber is shooting a higher % from the field, and are about even on the boards so far.

Weber falling apart, they cant handle the press. 32-19. Looks like our 1st half against them, just giving the ball away.

Getting ugly now :( 37-19. Lillard isn't getting much help breaking the press out there. 16 turnovers now with about 1:45 left in the 1st half.

Weber hit 2 threes in a row to pull within 12 (25-37). Cincy hits a buzzer beater 3 to go up 40-25 at halftime.. Hope weber can get the turnovers under control in the second half.

Weber State looks as though they have never seen a trap or, for that matter, a basket ball....even the announcers seem baffled by such indifferent play and one attributes it to the meltdown in the conference title game. I think they might be right...On the other hand, New Mexico is much better than Cincy and I hope the Griz don't show the same level of apathy bordering on incompetence...this is a very ugly game...even Cincy is playing bad for them...

Hopefully we taught Weber how to make a come back. Its getting ugly, come on Weber, at least show that you belong!

Hm...getting interesting now.. Cincy has stopped hitting shots, so they aren't pressing now. Weber is on a 10-0 run and down by only 9 now 56-47 with about 10 mins left.

Big Sky coaches/teams take notes from this Cincinnati game. Apply as much pressure as possible on them!!! They need to improve their awareness and ballhandling, even Lillard.

This is an all too familiar pattern of a top tier BSC team being overwhelmed by a team from a solid conference that simply plays season long at a higher level. Forget the inferior RPI's. The real problem is that Big Sky play prepares you for nothing more challenging than - well, Big Sky play. Being trapped in the back court and calling a timeout is something you just don't see with better programs. I pray fervently
that this isn't a virus that the Griz might have picked up in Ogden.

I think with Cherry and AJ on the court the Griz are a better press breaking team than Weber. Lillard was pretty much stranded a lot in the first half when Cincy was pressing..he was getting little help breaking the press out there.

It looks like Session played a little in the first half...I missed the first part of the game though so I'm not sure.... Did he get many minutes? Seems like Weber could really use him out there against cincy with his athleticism.

Weber ended up losing 76-62. Lillard had a game high 26 points.

They also struggled with our press in the second half come back! One thing about our pressure D that sucks, our guards apply the preasure and get people in trouble, but our other players dont cheat the passing lanes. Did you see how many steals Cin. got just by over playing the passing lanes when their guards picked up the dribble? It was sick!!!

There were 2 upsides to this game, the guys played very hard, and shot the ball fairly well, hung with them most of the game, except the last few minutes of the first half with all those freakin turnovers, I dont really think that CInncy was all that MUCH better than us, but those turnovers hurt like hitting your hand with a sledgehammer during below 30 temps in winter (yeah I've dont it before) :? . Randy Rahe did I think have a right to be pissed, Cinncy was getting away with alot of bumping, and they called the bumps on Weber.

Well one big sky team down, UNCs playing right now and I think they are winning, and you guys need to take it to the Lobos, Its the only way I'd ever forgive you guys :D

I watched the game and it looked like Weber became frustrated or intimidated by Cincinnati's physical play. (and it didn't help that the ref's were calling the game in such an inconsistent way) When they settled down, and started becoming the aggressors, they made a nice run in the middle of the 2nd half. But it is real difficult to make a run like that and keep it going when you have a team as fast and physical as Cin. Lillard had a good game, but everywhere else Weber was outmanned, as the Cin. coach noted after the game.
