I believe so. Lillard is a 6'3" guard, and that matches up well with Cherry. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Cherry guarded Lillard when they played against each other in HS.

I believe so. Lillard is a 6'3" guard, and that matches up well with Cherry. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Cherry guarded Lillard when they played against each other in HS.

I did a little research, and Lillard and Cherry have only faced each other twice in college. that was in the 09-10 season. Lillard sat out the 10-11 season. Lillard averaged 27 ppg against the grizzlies in 09-10 season. I have no clue if it was Cherry or Johnson that was guarding him at the time. These #'s exclude the championship game that Weber hates to relive.........reminder, AJ scored 42 points I believe.

Lillard is going to get his points. I believe the key is shutting down Bamforth. Either one of those guys can score points in a hurry. Hopefully Cherry can reduce his PPG by 10, and Steward/Jamar can put a lid on Bamforth.
